Dr. Jasmine Stannard, MD

Dr Stannard provided me zero help when I was referred for pain, numbness, swelling and tingling in my hands and arms. Having a mother, daughter and grandmother with rheumatic disease, clearly there is a family history. Maybe she didn’t believe me or thought I was a drugseeker? I do not know but the pain was excruciating at times and she did nothing, not even giving basic empathy, because I didn’t meet exact criteria for disease. When she walked out of the room I burst into tears as I realized she wasn’t going to help me. Nurse came in and I insisted that she ask the doctor what I could do for the pain. She came back and told me ibuprofen, which I was already taking. So I went to a rheumatologist at UofM, this time armed with pictures of my swollen fingers. Though I did not fully fit diagnostic criteria for lupus or RA, she diagnosed me with Undifferentiated Connective Tissue Disease and GAVE ME TREATMENT to help manage it. Dr Stannard needs to bone-up on diagnosis and empathy skills.

This place gets one star because you cant post until you select a star.So the brillliant receptionist there made us fax things twice today just to get an appointment for my 10 year old daughter. Then this evening tells us that my child cannot be seen because she is 10 year's old and they only see 12 and up. If this is the case then Dr.Stannard should not be a pediatric doctor she should change her title.It is ridculous in the initial call this morning she should have said they are not pediatrics and do not see children after all english is not a difficult language and pediatrics mean they see children.
