Dr. Alder did an amazing job on my back surgery. I'm not trying to say that he is the best spine surgeon in America, but I am saying that no one could have done it better! Thank you Dr. Alder.

Dr. Alder in my opinion is best in his field. He reconstructed my neck and I would definitely go to him for any future spinal reconstruction surgery.

Dr Alder and his team were absolutely amazing! I had been experiencing a pinched nerve for about 10 years and was having numbness and tingling down my arm along with shoulder pain. In those 10 years I tried any and every option to fix my neck, because I was nervous about surgery. None of it worked. I saw Dr Alder had been trained at some of the best spine facilities and doctors around the country. His reviews were also great! I scheduled an appointment with him, and his staff were great at getting me in quickly to see him. I explained the symptoms I was having and he gave me some options on treatment along with pros and cons from each option, and let me decide which was best for me. His personality was very friendly. The way he explained things were super easy to understand. His review of my MRI made it sound so simple on how to fix me! I was nervous about my neck surgery and he put me at ease several different times! The day of the surgery was so smooth and again his team was helping me the whole way. I am almost at 4-weeks post-surgery. The pain I was experiencing was completely gone right after surgery! It took my mind some time to understand I am actually healed! I wish I would have not waited so long to get my new neck! I did not need any neck brace or physical therapy for my disk replacement, which I was pleasantly surprised by. Dr Alder is a doctor that truly listens to you and creates a plan of action to healing! I cannot thank him and his staff enough for all they did for me and answering all of questions! I asked a ton of questions and several of them multiple times! He also gave me several tips, products, and training on scar treatment, which I’m using now! Thank you so much Dr Alder!!!

I had surgery by Dr. Alder on February 7, 2024. He performed a cervical fusion. He and his staff as well as all the staff at the hospital were absolutely amazing! I could not have wished for it to go any better. Hands down the best choice for a surgeon.

Dr. Alder is a highly educated surgeon. He has given me great care over the last year leading up to L4-L5 fusion that I recently had. I am two weeks post op and each day is miraculously better. I highly recommend Dr. Alder and his staff.

When I met for my pre-op with Dr. Alder, he reviewed my MRIs and X-rays and explained my options. He was patient and listened to my questions so that my husband and I were confident that the surgical approach was the best choice. He didn’t pull any punches when he explained the details and LOTS of pain resulting from my surgery. I was impressed that he pro-actively had all prescriptions called in prior of surgery, so that all my medications were ready when I was released from the hospital. His bedside manner before and after surgery was calming and reassuring. Immediately after surgery Dr. Alder talked to my husband, answering questions, and providing his assessment of the procedure. During my post-op visits Dr. Alder explained that I was recovering as expected and that he was encouraged by how well I was doing from surgery. Dr. Alder is a gifted surgeon as well as a caring, encouraging, as well as being a direct communicator.

Dr Aler is a great Dr Like others have said he explains and shows you exactly what is happening and what he can do for you. Then when you come in for surgery Dr Alder and staff are awesome , keep you calm and They talk with you and not at you. After surgery he and staff are still the same. I even got a phone call to make sure I was doing well. Before seeing him I could not walk without pain or stand up straight Now I can and he told me how recovery can be the does and don'ts. Thank you Dr Alder.

I have had 2 cervical fusion surgeries with Dr. Alder. 1 on Halloween 2022 and another on May 15th 2023. He explained everything from start to finish. Prepared me for what I could expect afterwards. He has the best bedside manner of any doctor I have ever seen. On my first surgery the person doing the neurological monitoring was late getting there and Dr. Alder came in and sat by my bed and talked with me like an old friend. I wish all doctors could be like him!!!

Recently I underwent L4-L5-S1 lumbar fusion surgery under Dr Alder. During consultation Dr. Alder explained the procedure step by step and put all my fears to rest. Before surgery whenever I had some doubts or queries his staff answered promptly. I had such an excruciating pain in my legs and back that I was home bound so I was begging my surgery to be moved forward and his amazing staff helped me. The surgery took about 4.5 hours and was difficult than anticipated but went very well.Once I opened my eyes after surgery there was no pain at all and that was the best moment in my life after 4 months! The very next day I started walking. Now I am on recovery mode. Dr Alder is an excellent surgeon and so down to earth!!! He is humble, intellectual, and driven to help his patients make pain free. You can ask any doubts to him without fear or apprehension. Dr Alder and his whole staff - Nghi and Roxana are amazing! Thank you Dr Alder for giving back my life!!!

I saw Dr. Alder for pain in my right upper back, shoulder, and down through my arm. After his initial examination, he sent me for an MRI, which his office was able to schedule for that same day. Dr. Alder explained my condition and the MRI images in detail. His level of explanation and interest in me understanding the findings and my treatment options were definitely the best I have ever received from a doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Alder.

Dr. Alder is GREAT! He told me before the surgery of the pros & cons and was honest that this type of procedure doesn't work for everyone. He was comforting during and after surgery and my back, so far, is feeling great. He is extremely professional and very down to earth. I whole heartedly endorse Dr. Alder to anyone needing back surgery.

Dr. Alder is a brilliant surgeon! Being only 23 years old after a unsuccessful surgery this January with another surgeon, I felt almost hopeless for a successful outcome and many doctors brushed me off like I was crazy or said that it is normal to have pain 9 months after surgery. I was referred to Dr. Alder by Dr. Sethi (also brilliant) and he was the first doctor to sit there with me and listen to my complaints and we decided to try ACDF as a last resort option (I tried every conservative treatment around). I am now 6 weeks post OP from a 2 level ACDF at C5/6 and 6/7 with hardware removal at C5/6 (artificial disc placed in Jan). Dr. Alder discovered exactly why I was having so many issues due to debris being left around the disc replacement and a calcified disc at 6/7 which was not shown on imaging - he was able to clean everything up and I have amazing range of motion and I am practically pain free! Dr. Alder gave me the life I should be living at 23 years old back!

So glad I changed surgeons to Dr. Alder! He is very thorough in his explanations, compassionate and patient.

Highly recommend Dr. Alder and staff at Ortho Texas. From the beginning Dr Alder answered all questions and was very thorough in reviewing the surgery procedure and what to expect afterwards. In addition to being highly trained, hsuse is very patient, personable and I trusted his expertise- my surgery was very successful. His staff was readily available via phone when I had a question post opt. I have nothing but gratitude for my care that Dr. Alder provided.

Dr. Alder has got to be hands down one of the best and most personable surgeons I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Dr. Alder made absolutely sure that I knew the ins and outs of my upcoming surgery which by the way was a success. My arm pains went away immediately after surgery and within less than a week I didn’t even need my pain meds for post op. My follow up appointment with pleasant and he showed me my X-rays and MRI before surgery and then at my follow up showed me the X-rays of his spectacular results.
