I had an absolutely awful experience with Dr. Eckand I strongly urge everyone to avoid him. He was not only condescending, but downright disrespectful and dismissive. He treated me like my concerns were insignificant, making me feel humiliated and belittled. His arrogance and lack of empathy were beyond unprofessional—I've never encountered a doctor who made me feel so uncomfortable and disrespected. Save yourself the frustration and find a doctor who actually values their patients. This was, without a doubt, the worst medical experience I've ever had.

Amazing neurosurgeon
I had a fairly complex neck surgery that Dr Eck did an amazing job on. I would recommend him to anyone who has a serious condition whether it's neck or back. If for some reason I had to have any other type of surgery in my neck or back I would definitely go back to him in a heartbeat. The entire staff at Olathe which is part of KU now is just phenomenal.

I have never been to a heath providers office that came close to being as well ran as Dr Ecks office. From the front office to Dr Eck, everyone was extremely friendly and professional. My surgery went well and I am on my way to a full recovery.

I’m back up and walking.
I officially met Dr Eck after my emergency surgery. Having 2 vertebrae’s collapse, I was in so much pain I had to be sedated. He was great explaining to my family as what my complications were and all the options he had and would do his best and he did. His bedside manner was so pleasing. Always had a smile on his face along with all his staff.

Spinal fusion
Dr. Eck and his entire staff were very supportive and responsive. When I went to see him, I was in a tremendous amount of pain. He saw the urgency and immediately helped. He was informative with an amazing bedside manner. His staff answered questions and offered amazing support. I recommend him 100%!!

spinal surgery
Dr. Eck is a terrible doctor. He operated on my husband which left him in more pain. Dr Eck told him, the pain down his leg and foot had nothing to do with the surgery. Dr Eck dismissed the new pain as a coincidence that it start the day after surgery.

I found him rude and crude to others. Blaming patients on his surgical work; more than once, if that wasn't enough. Witnessed him communicating (if you want to call it that) with a person asking a question on behalf of a patient; Dr. Eck's response was harsh, rude, crude and very unbecoming of any professional or nonprofessional worker. It was quite humiliating. I wanted to crawl in a hole for that person. He not only told them to stop talking, go away; he was shooing them away in such a manner that one does a dog and pointing. He needs to learn Respect is a two way street. He has skills; however, his Arrogance and snide remarks are overwhelming.

Staff was excellent, however Dr rushed my surgery which left me with several complications which he been dismissive about. Very arrogant and if you're not agreeing with what he says he states "well that's not what my books tell me". Once you've had surgery he no longer see you as a person his politeness goes right out the window and becomes rude and "as a matter of factly". I regret ever walking into his office.

Arrogance in the extremes. You are not God; God gave you ability. If you choose to go noninvasive it offends him and he throws you out by stating "there is nothing more he can do for you if you dont want surgery." Obviously, he doesn't care about helping unless there is enough profit to be made. He needs to recheck himself in a mirror and see there is no reason for the arrogancy and that, short of his patients, no one knows or cares who he is. You are a liability to such a great office and they need to let you go just like the other Sports Center did

Very professional and at the same time did not want to rush me to surgery on X-rays alone. He ordered MRI and found there was bigger problem than first thought. I am going to have to have surgery and feel very confident I’m in good hands.
