Dr. Efstathiou lives up to his world class reputation! From the initial consultation visit, during my treatment and now during follow up appointments I have received the quality of care a patient can only pray for. Dr. E is pleasant and smart and also very honest about treatment options, side effects and outcome. He has treated me with respect and kindness and has shown true care for my wellbeing. He has always been reachable to answers questions and concerns and has done so with true compassion. I am forever grateful to him for the care he continues to provide to me and am thankful that he is the physician I turned my treatment and health over to. I am very lucky to have him "on my side"

After meeting with Dr Efstathiou for a consultation appointment I knew I would be well taken care of. He spent time explaining the options I would have for radiation therapy and patiently answered the many questions I had regarding my diagnosis. He was kind and respectful and made me feel as though I was the only patient he would be treating. I could not have asked for a better experience in a very scary situation and will always be grateful for how Dr Efstathiou cared for me

Kept me waiting for an hour, spent 5 minutes with me then sent me a huge bill. Don't recommend.

Came to him for advice about prostate cancer. Instead got 30 min of him trying to strong arm me into doing some research study he's running. After I said no he got up and walked out and said he had other patients. I guess his fame means more to him than helping people.

Condescending and visibly abusive to staff. If he can't treat the people that work under him with respect what chance do I have as his patient? Steer clear of this guy.

I required salvage radiation following a prostatectomy (by Douglas Dahl, MD at MGH). Dr. Efstathiou had been part of my multi-disciplinary team and, while I had elected to have the prostatectomy instead of radiation (equal projected outcomes), when it was determined I needed radiation post-operatively, I requested him. My radiation was recently completed and, while I await my follow-up PSA to determine its success, the experience I had with Dr. Efstathiou and his staff was excellent.
