The best
The professionalism! The knowledge and commitment. He diagnosed my atrial fib, immediately; that I needed an ablation. Fast forward, we moved another M.D.;offered up, “we’ll keep an eye on the situation.” I really miss this guy. Your concerns with appointments and staffing are legit. When I started with Dr. Primer, nearly 30 years ago, the practice was top drawer. If you’re ill now the minions take 2 days to deliver the message; if at all. Hey, NMH, does anyone recognize where the real problems begin? Not with Dr. Primer, I assure you.

A very good all around doctor
I found Dr. Primer through Northwestern about 12 years ago, and he's been my primary care doctor since. I've really enjoyed my experience with him - he's a good listener and has a great attitude and a good sense of humor. He's fast and efficient. He'll talk me out of procedures that he deems are unnecessary, recommend others that are, and is responsive to my questions and messaging within the MyNM app. Overall, I strongly recommend him.

You can’t get much better than Dr. Primer. Very thorough, professional and direct! I almost gave up on a real Dr.-(with the exception of my own husband) until I became Dr. Primer’s patient. Highly recommended.

I found Dr. Primer to be very thorough, concerned and having a great bedside manner, not relying on the computer for everything while talking to you. He’s definitely a one on one hands on. Highly recommended to everyone that I know. Thank You Dr. Primer for your expertise in my care!

Dr Primer is one of the most competent, concerned and knowledge and able doctors I have experienced during my 67 years of life. He diagnosed a few of my medical conditions in only one visit. His treatments helped me with my fatigue and pain quite quickly. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr primer is fine but his office is a mess and i will not be returning. I write this as i sit in severe weather and flood warnings. This morning i had to wait for the sitter, who was late, for my five year old. All of this, in turn, makes me late. Not too big a deal if i have to reschedule, however, right in front of me, some other scrub dr. In this office, instructs the receptionist, to squeeze someone into his schedule, someone sent to him by some other dr. You want to reschedule? No. Never.

Not only is Dr. Primer an excellent solution-based practitioner who employs root cause analysis diagnostic medicine, he consistently brings genuine care and concern to each in-person, telephonic and virtual patient encounter and communication. He has proven to be a 5-star primary care provider and the best representative of Northwestern's health system across all of my patient experiences. Gayle Hutchinson

I have been a patient of Dr. Primer's for over 10 years. He is attentive to my questions, takes time to listen to me and explain things in a manner that I can understand. His office is efficient and appointments run very close to schedule. I would recommend Dr. Primer as an outstanding internist.
