Excellent Doctor
Dr Reed has done both of my total knee replacements and both surgeries went well. He went above and beyond to make sure my health and wellbeing was put first. I recently went to him due to breaking my foot and needing surgery. He explained to me that it could heal on its own however it would be painful regardless and I definitely need surgery to make sure it heals properly and does not end up being painful for me the rest of my life. This is the first time I have seen him since being with Marietta. Staff, nurses, Dr Reed, everyone were great getting me ready for surgery which was promptly the next day, surgery went well, I am on the road to recovery and he is still the same caring and compassionate doctor he was when he was with JIS. I highly recommend him to anyone.

When I started going to Dr. Reed he was affiliated with JIS Group. He does x-rays as a normal part of an office call and reads them himself. The x-ray was billed as part of the office visit. The last time I visited he had changed affiliation to Marietta Memorial Hospital located about 40 miles from his office. He did the x-rays again with the same staff and equipment, but they were billed separately by Marietta Memorial as an hospital out patient, thus creating an additional much more expensive co-pay. When MMH was contacted by my insurance they said that with the new affiliation the x-ray machine was theirs and would be sent to the hospital to be read, so was billed as a hospital out patient ( The most expensive method) even though they were read by Dr. Reed at his office. This is the last time I will visit Dr. Reed . I will start going to the JIS center in New Albany, Oh. I would suggest anyone considering visiting Dr. Reed while he is affiliated with MMH to do the same!

I have a shoulder injury I went to see him about going on week 5. His staff is unable to complete full paperwork properly and I was denied an MRI until I called and got it straightened out. Began dealing with office manager and went for MRI after being assured everything was filed and Grant never received orders. When they called they got on call service and was told call back in 30 minutes if hadn’t heard from doctor, they did The answering service was turned off. Now I am 5 weeks, almost 6 weeks in and have to find a new doctor for my surgery.

He was WONDERFUL with my daughter who had a torn hip ligament. Didnt force surgery as an option. She is wonderful and back to tumbling after about 5 months of not being able to.

I was five months telling Dr. Reed my right leg and hip hurt. He never took an xray until I got upset and told them no one listen to me. He kept giving me shots in my hip and knees. Finally, when he did take an xray, my hip was bone on bone. He scheduled surgery. Now my right leg is longer than the left one and infected. He released me from his care today, two weeks after surgery with no restrictions and not to return for six months with an antibiotic that I can't take.

My son injured his hand on a Wednesday evening and we saw Dr. Reed Thursday morning. He recommended immediate surgery and so we went back in the afternoon and he had the surgery. Everyone we interacted with from Dr. Reed, to Jackie Lather, to the front desk staff and nursing staff was exceptional in how they treated us. We have followup today so we will see how he is healing.
