I saw this Doctor once years ago and I am still traumatized. He was the one who placed my first IUD, which was an extremely awful experience. After he inserted it I was in the most pain I have ever felt and he told me "you should feel no pain right now". He totally dismissed how I felt as a patient and as a PERSON. He is also a male and has no idea what I as a woman was going through in that moment because he cannot even fathom what an IUD insertion feels like.

AMAZING! I went through years of trying to get a diagnosis for my bleeding/pain. Upon switching physicians , Dr. VanBennekom had a consult with me and agreed I needed a hysteroscopy and moved my surgery date up so I only had to wait two weeks. I finally got a diagnosis and he was so incredibly kind, sweet and knowledgeable and was able to calm all of my fears and anxiety I had, and even held my hand as the anestheologist was putting me under . You can tell just by talking and through his eyes that he truly cares about his patients

I went thru a big scare and Dr. VanBennekom was very kind and talked me through every step of the process. He was very thorough and made sure that I was comfortable through the entire scare.

Speaks rudely to patients.....even to the manner that I the husbands had to step in to protect my wife from this animal. He is unfit to be a Doctor. Lack self control.
