Friendly, efficient staff and co-workers. Dr Young is professional, highly sought after for his medical expertise and thoroughly knows the overall dynamics of a joint replacement, in particular, how the procedure will work, what to expect in the aftermath and how long will the recovery process be. He thoroughly explains the surgery and will even give options if immediate surgery is not required. Most importantly, at least for me, is that from the beginning he will explain what to expect from a joint replacement or any type of orthopedic surgery that you may require. You are literally in good hands with Dr. Young.

Does not listen
I seen him he did not listen to me at all. He immediately says he know what is wrong without even examining me. he Said only city doctors know what their doing.. small town doctors do not. He is stuck on himself. I would not recommend him to anybody . He basically put down all smaller town doctors.

Dr Young, Severyn and his staff are always too-notch. I have needed a few surgeries over the years and Dr Young is always who I would go to, no one else. He takes time to explain things, does nothing that doesn’t need to be done and is very precise in his technique. I feel very fortunate that he is my surgeon and trust his judgements.

Dr. Young is one of the best orthopedic surgeons I’ve ever met. He has done several surgeries on my mom as well as myself, and he’s always been kind, honest and is great at his job.

Terrible doctor. His only concern was getting paid. Did not let me (husband) in for visit with him for my wife. So, had to do visit with him with wife in patient room with me on facetime in the car. Did not say hello or good buy. Did not acknowledge that I was even part of the appointment. Even paid him before the visit started. Do not see Dr. Young!

This was one of the worst medical experiences I've ever had. Dr. Young does not listen to his patients. I brought MRI results to him and not only did he not review them with me he didn't even remember me bringing them in on the following visit (asked me if I had the MRI with me). This guy is a total workmen's comp company doctor who is only interested in getting paid for protecting the companies interests and not his patient's general well being.

Dr. Jason Young and Severyn his PA at Motion Orthopaedics were top notch. My left knee was left in bad shape after playing volleyball at the National Senior Olympics. Dr. Young gently explained his recommendation for a total knee replacement and included several options that might not be successful. I choose the TKR. Severyn patiently explained all aspects of the procedure. Dr. Young and Severyn always took time with me to answer questions. I never felt rushed. They made me feel like I was the only patient they were seeing that day. The surgery was at the Emerson Surgery Center. Their staff was friendly, attentive and professional. 24 hours later, I am home. Again, in dealing with Dr. Young and Severyn, they made me feel like I was the only patient they had. The surgery was successful and I am getting back to my regular activities. Recovery from TKR is tough. Glad Dr. Young and Severyn were on my team, guiding me with expectations. Complete confidence in their abilities.

Our mission at Motion Orthopaedics is to keep people from all walks of life active (HOW?? LEFT WITH THE SAME TEAR I PRESENTED WITH) and at the top of their game (ON TOP MEANS NEW SURGICAL CENTER?). Dr. Young's philosophy is "Less is more" (I DID GET LESS). Whenever possible Dr. Young will explore non-surgical treatment options (YES, OPTION GIVEN; WAIT EVENTUALLY YOU’LL NEED A COMPLETE KNEE REPLACEMENT). For those patients that do require traditional surgery (SURGERY NOR ANYTHING ELSE WAS GIVEN AS A SOLUTION), we believe that arthroscopic surgery minimizes tissue trauma and expedites recovery. (RECOVERY? WHAT WAS SAID, “BOTTOM LINE WHO SHOULD HAVE TO PAY” FOR THIS WORK RELATED INJURY?) MY THOUGHTS>>> YOU CAN'T EXPECT TO BE MADE WHOLE! PER MY CONSULT @ THIS OFFICE EVENTUALLY YOU WILL TEAR SOMETHING BECAUSE OF YOUR AGE AND EVERYONE WILL GET ARHTRITIS (EVEN IF THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN TOLD THEY HAVE IT)

This was the most thorough and detailed orthopedic medical examination and discussion I have ever had with a Orthopedic Doctor. Dr. Young was very professional, personable, and explained his observations and diagnosis in clear terms that were understandable to me. I left his office feeling I had just experienced the highest level of medical attention and genuine concern for my well-being that I have ever had. A great doctor to have for your orthopedic needs!

Dr. Young has replaced both of my knees. He is very knowledgeable and explains everything in a way that I can understand. I am relatively young for knee replacement surgery but my knees were in terrible shape. He explained my options and I chose total knee replacement surgery for both knees at separate times. I appreciate his candor and his ability to understand how I'm feeling and to help to ease my concerns and answer my questions.

I found Dr. Young to be very informative and patient with my many questions before surgery. I didn't feel rushed and he spent more time sitting and talking with me about my condition and options than any other doctor I've seen in my life. The office is small and quiet with very few other patients waiting each time I have been in and the staff has been pleasant. All around a good experience.

Visit was fine, BUT when his report was received he clearly did not include truthful information, and provided false details. This DR is for insurance companies only. He has no care for the patient what so ever.... I would avoid even conversing with him, if your insurance company sends you to him for treatment or an ime. Simply refuse to answer him, or talk to him in any way. He will twist your words to suit the people that write his pay check! Typical w/c doctor.

I was referred by a friend after I fell in an obstacle course. I had a break in the joint in my fibula of my left leg along with a torn ACL in the left knee. Dr. Young was able to see me and begin treating me first thing on Monday morning. After the break healed I opted to have the ACL reconstruction. Within days I felt better. I am 16 weeks post surgery and feeling great! His office staff was always there to answer any questions as well! great doctor!!!

I was very impressed with Dr. Young, his assistant Amy, and the staff at Advance Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. I saw him for a knee and lower leg injury. Dr. Young explained things thoroughly and did good job of presenting me with all of our options and possibilities, both positive and negative. As a result I was prepared for best and worst case scenarios. His schedule was adjusted to fit mine and they worked hard to get my surgery scheduled at a time that was convenient for me.
