Great surgeon, unworkable office
Dr. Bass is an excellent surgeon--I think one of the best in the Atlanta area (if not THE best) for charcot foot reconstruction. It is unfortunate that his office takes apathy and incompetence to new depths I've never seen in an doctor's office (and I've seen a lot of doctors).Among their issues: No voice mail when they go to lunch. The office is filthy (waiting room seems to be rarely cleaned, people were eating in it on more than one visit). The staff is rude, completely disconnected from empathy.Worst of all, though, when my surgery was scheduled, the office failed to communicate with the hospital and the surgery had to be rescheduled the day before it was supposed to happen. MY ducks were in a row, including a team of people who had taken off work to help me get to and from the bathroom, etc., but it all had to be rescheduled. I can deal with apathy, I can deal with filth, I can deal with rudeness, but THAT was my bridge too far because it affected others than just me.

Terrible follow-up care
Operated on my loved one. When complications developed, the doctor was unavailable and no one in his practice would help my loved one, who is in agony. Office personnel have shown zero compassion. Stay far, far away from them if you are on medicaid/medicare!!!!!

Dr. Bass took the time to examine my foot problem, explain my options, wanted to know what my expectations were, took in my medication problems and successfully operated on my foot with a wonderful outcome. His staff is friendly and efficient. If I have anymore problems with either foot, he is the doctor that I will seek help from. Excellent!

Dr. Bass assists me with my diabetic foot care. I was referred to him by my primary care physician, he didn’t disappoint. I’m thankful that this is a foot care doctor that really cares about your health needs.

Dr. Bass is the best Dr I have ever had. He fully explains all options and procedures. He answered all of my questions. He and his staff are very professional and very personable. No podiatrist within 30 miles accepts Medicaid, I had to travel all the way to Dr. Bass in Lithonia and it absolutely turned out to be a blessing. Never had a Dr. as approachable as him. Yes the wait is long as it is HIS private practice, but trust me, it is very well worth it!! Thanks Dr. Bass:)))) my feet are smiling

The wait time is over extended into the time for your appointment. You will wait at least 20-30 min after your scheduled appointment time. I was a patient of Dr. Bass for a couple of months including several visits. On this particular day I waited for an extended amount of time for my appointment. I explained to the nurse about my wait time and Dr. Bass came back in the room very irate questioning me, I thought this was very unprofessional especially his approach the way he came back on me.
