Very nice guy but a terrible surgeon
I had multiple issues after having orthopedic surgery from Dr. Shah that have left me with lifelong pain and limited mobility that affects me on a daily basis. I was in a situation where I had to have surgery in a short amount of time due to the nature of the injury and I didn’t take time to research Dr. Shah and opted to let him do surgery on me solely on the recommendation of my Primary Care Physician. Don’t make the same mistake as me, get a second opinion and find a better surgeon

Fabulous doctor!
I had shoulder pain that gradually got worse over a year. Nothing seemed to help for long. I was referred to Dr. Shah in late 2022. He first tried several alternatives to avoid surgery, but nothing helped. In early February I had surgery on my shoulder. Nine weeks later it is immensely better than before surgery. I am very happy with my surgery outcome. Thanks so much!

Surprising staff behavior
Staff eating biscuit behind desk, then touching my paperwork with greasy hands. One was filing her nails not looking at me while I was talking to her. They all seem to have an attitude. Made me feel uncomfortable like I wasn’t important. Surprised their behavior is acceptable because they do it so openly.

This is a great doctor. Did knee surgery on me about 2 years ago. I walked out of the hospital the day of the surgery. Did as he told me to get back in shape. No pain meds! Was back to work in 3 weeks. He is no longer with Kentucky one Health. How can I find him? Hey doc if you read this Please let me know where I need to call to get an appointment.

My experience with Dr. Shah has been a nightmare. My family member saw him in the ER in London, KY in March 2019 and his negligence has led her to a life of chronic pain and sadness. For four months, he took xray after xray telling her that her bone wasn't healing. He read the xrays himself and couldn't see what ANYONE with eyes could see- my bone was displaced. 4 months of him 'missing' what he should not have missed, led to another surgery by his colleague, who knew immediately it was displaced and operated on her. When she wrote a letter to the hospital, they ignored her. Dr. Shah is no longer in Kentucky and we believe he left the state abruptly. It is depressing that surgeons like this are allowed to practice in any state. She will never be the same.

I wouldn't recommend Dr. Shah if my life depended on it. I would give him a negative review if I could. He is creepy and made my wife (a nurse he has worked with) and my young daughter really uncomfortable when we saw him in his clinic after my daughter's cheerleading injury. Just because you're a doctor, it doesn't give you the right to be unprofessional. He crossed a line and we won't go back.

Dr. Shah is the BEST!!! Very caring, professional, knowledgeable. Dr. Shah explains the problem and how it will be fixed and answered all questions that we had. He always had time and did not hurry in and out. He is very particular with your care.. Able to get in touch with him even when out of town. He was very concerned about my accident and took the greatest care with me. I have recommended him to everyone and will continue to do so. Kentucky One is very blessed to have a Dr. of his caliber.

I would not recommend him. He messed up on my daughter's ACL and became angry when he told us the surgery had failed. Unprofessional and rude and not a good surgeon.

Terrible experience. Waited close to 2 hours only to have Dr. Shah tell me surgery was my daughter's only option. Glad we got a second opinion. Dr. Shah only sees patients as dollars he could make for himself. His pushy and rude attitude was awful. So many good orthos in Lexington who care about the patient, not the money they make from an unnecessary surgery.

I would NOT recommend Dr. Shah. A family member's daughter saw him and he made her very uncomfortable - almost being inappropriate. He is very arrogant and pushed her to have a surgery that another Ortho in Lexington told her she didn't need. He asked her some personal things unrelated to her injury and insisted she call him on his cell phone. She also waited close to 2 hours just to be seen. I would recommend going to an Ortho in Lexington.

Dr. Shah is amazing. I tore my ACL skiing and had been seeing another Dr who was awful. By recommendation from friends, I made an appt with Dr. Shah. He operated on my knee a week after my 1st appt. Surgery went great and his work is remarkable. He is charming and knowledgeable, and his bedside manner is great. He HIMSELF calls his patients the day after surgery to check on them. He is a man who takes pride in his work and treats his patients like a person, NOT a dollar amount. Top Notch!

I love Dr. Shah, he removed the hardware from my ankle. He is unlike any other doctor i've met. He himself personally gives me a call to check on my progress. He's just wonderful and very intelligent. He was extremely personal, it wasn't like any other doctor, I wasn't just a paycheck to him, it was very refreshing to have a doctor like him.
