Dr. Jay Simoncic, MD

Dr Simoncic replaced my shoulder. To say it was life changing is putting it lightly! From the very start he took his time and answered all of my questions and concerns. The office staff and nurses are great too. Unlike other ortho’s they don’t have you wait in a packed waiting room like cattle. Wait times are 5-10 minutes tops!

I saw him the first time with my brother who is a radiologist and had x-rays done. They both viewed the x-rays and concurred that I had cartilage loss. I went for physical therapy and was in excruciating pain. I requested an MRI, however it did not come in time for my appointment and showed him my brother's readings and he would not accept it because he was not part of Northwell Health. However I had in the disc in my hands and he refused to read it and said he only reads the MRI disc for surgery and won't read the one I brought. He refused to even re-examine me and said why should I get examined again when I should have waited for the results. He is a first class HEARTLESS jerk and does not deserve the title of doctor in his name.

My experience here was really good I didnt have to wait long front desk staff was very pleasant Nurses were very kind Dr Simoncic was very good explained my knee problem answered my questions he was patient while listening to my questions

There is zero communication with Simoncic. When you call you are advised he does not speak to patients unless it is an emergency. Almost a week after having an MRI I have called several times for results, with no call back. If I do get a call back it will apparently not be by him, as he deems himself too important to speak with patients over the phone.

Excellent Surgeon. Did my husbands knee surgery and torn bicep tendon surgery. Following that recommended him to several people including my mother who he did knee surgeries for and all were beyond pleased. The office staff is so friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend Dr. Simoncic for any orthopedic needs.

Dianosed with arthritis in knee he said nothing you can do I was also in pain asked him for inflamation script said no it will not help asked him what can I do to help myself he said nothing so that's it certain members of staff acted same way. Went to another doctor gave me meds, phy script and gave me supplements and knee exercises and what type of knee brace to get and great attitude. I will never recommend dr jay simoncic

I made a very slow progress after a rotator cuff surgery. My surgeon, that left for a long term, referred me to his colleague Dr Jay Simonicic who shares that same office. After an hour and 15 minutes, the Doc came, checked my movements briefly and said that he cannot offer solution because he was not the one that performed the surgery. I pointed out that he has all the medical records his colleague left right there, but he repeated that he can add nothing and storm out of the room…

The doctor and nurses were OK, but the office is run very poorly by other staff. I made multiple appointments in person, only for secretaries to later tell me that they had no record for my appointment. It was almost impossible to reach anyone on staff by phone, they were perpetually away from their desk. Finally, X-Ray staff couldn't provide adequate answers during x-ray visits without the doctor. Nobody was able to tell me whether bending my knee for an x-ray could cause further injury.
