Value in Reviews
At a glance, you would think that this is a highly recommended Provider. As you research for a Provider to manage your care, please look deeper for traits that are drivers to your overall health and it's outcomes. For example, when were these comments made, over a year ago, apparently something has shifted. Not certain if her patient load is too much, which is another red flag and will have an impact to your care. She may hear your concerns, but not sold that she is listening. There is a HUGE difference.

Awesome
My husband and are well educated and have an ID son who we bring to see her. She always answers our questions in a manner in which our son can understand. Dr Raj comes up with good solutions to address his medical changes. She is very confident and “in charge” which yields a lot of trust from our son. We are always impressed by her thoroughness.

Don’t waste your time
I recently moved to San Antonio from out of state for my job. I am looking for a new PCP. If you are looking for a doctor that listens to you, has compassion, understanding and where you feel seen, heard and understood …Dr. Raj is not the doctor for you. She doesn’t listen. She was critical of my previous PCP’s medical decisions. Without reading a single lab or test result. She comes across as a know-it-all doctor. Well, I’m glad she has it all figured out. I will be going elsewhere.

Terrible
After my physician retired I was transferred to Dr Raj. She is non approachable and has an attitude of she knows all. She removed a medication for my diabetes which caused my diabetes to soar out of control. I changed physician and my diabetes is back to normal. I would never recommend Dr Raj to anyone

Arrogance and incompetence
After several frustrating situations for my wife and myself we dropped NIMA and Dr. Raj. My wife and I selected Dr. Raj as our PCP after Dr. Forseth's retirement in December of 2022. Our in-person visits with her were pleasant enough. Our health maintenance turned out completely different when Dr. Raj treated us as idiots and refused to follow (or even consider) the care plans that had been carefully formulated with Dr. Forseth over many years of managing our specific illnesses. Her answer to everything was referrals to (often inappropriate) specialists to include avoiding routine tasks normally addressed by a GP and surely by an Internal Medicine doc. The Practice Manager, Ms. Diana Zulaica Medrano, was not helpful at all. When she returned calls, which was rare, she made excuses and indicated to me that 1) we would not be allowed to change PCPs within NIMA, 2) no other physician at NIMA could review Dr. Raj's decisions, and 3) she reported to no one and her decisions were also final.

Mixed results....
I have been a patient at NIMA for approximately 15 years and had the same PCP until she retired at the end of 2021. I selected Dr. Ray as my new PCP. My visits with her seem to go well enough, but my interactions over the portal (I work nights and find this way of communicating works best) have been horrible. My messages do not appear to be read or understood. This may not be Dr. Ray, but a Medical Assistant. It is, however, her name that's on the responses and she needs to ensure these are as accurate as what she presents in an in-person consultation.

Horrible experience! I went to make an appointment with another doctor but was given her. I am new to the area and needed a new doctor. I went in August of 2021 to have a relationship. Called in February of 2022 for a refill and was told no I had to come in. I make an appointment and go in to be told I couldn't get the refill because I needed bloodwork (was not told that before hand). I get the bloodwork to be told I couldn't get the refill because I need to come in to discuss the results. My results are fine and everything came back good. Why do I have to come in for that? Like most people I have a job! Just give me my refill so I can never see you again. I am lodging a complaint with the practice and my health insurance company

Showed up for visit. It was THEIR idea it would be by phone. I was having trouble breathing with the mask. She broke the appointment, no explanation whatsoever. I guess these caring doctors are going to let people die for stuff that has nothing to do with covid.

Dr. Raj is obviously not experience enough to take care of patients due to her assigning my father to another primary doctor (her competition) because he has to many complications.
