Dr. Jean-Paul Romes, MD

This Doctor is one of the most arrogant physicians that I have ever dealt with. Was sent to him from workmen's comp presenting with a tearing pain in the bicep. Had seen a previous Doctor who stated that I had an apparent bicep tear, yet ignored to do any of his own x- ray or MRI stating it was a bicep strain and could go back to work. Though I still cannot use all of the range of motion and still feel the tearing pain in the bicep muscle itself. Doctor felt threatened due to my knowledge of the body anatomy due to my college education, and brushed me off. At my follow up appointment I felt his physician assistant did not listen to what I had to say but rather listen to what the doctor had wrote in my chart. As I sat on the table she proceeded to do an "exam" she was not very clear with her explanations or her answers that she had given.

Not only is Dr. Romes condescending with no bedside manner, but he is a grossly negligent physician. Dr. Romes tried to send me away with an antibiotic for a UTI with no history or exam conducted, two negative urinalyses, and bloodwork showing no leukocyte elevation. It was concluded that I had passed a kidney stone the night prior to my emergency visit at Moses Taylor. I had requested a new doctor and sent him away when he attempted to return to my room.
