With upcoming yearly checkup, she cancelled appointment and wanted to refer me to an associate instead.

Dr. Frye is no doctor with compassion for her patience had to wait 6 months for a appointment which she didn’t try to find out what was wrong with my stomach and got mad when I visited another doctor trying to get help. She released me because I was concerned about my health and she was not. She told me she didn’t know what to do for me now is that away for a doctor to talk that says she’s a specialist in her field. She said I called to much to GI department I was only trying to get some help after being in the ER three times. Then a letter was written me that contained false statements from her superior Joseph Hulsebusch my husband is getting it straight now with higher officials. There are very good doctors at UVA I just got a bad one

Dr Frye is my gastroenterologist. She is excellent in her concern and care. Her manner with patients is exemplary. Her concern for her patients is unequaled in my long experience with physicians. I highly recommend her.

Dr Frye didn't listen to me. I suffered from diarrhea for nearly a year; she immediately diagnosed IBS, even though I didn't have pain, bloating or fever. Turned out to be a medication I was on. She didn't even look at my medications. She wanted to do invasive procedures and even suggested fecal transplants. I would not trust her. I complained to the UVA Hospital Patient Advocate, but after the initial contact from her, never heard another thing from them and certainly not from Dr. Frye. It took too long to get my initial appointment with Dr Frye (she had come highly recommended, so I waited), then months in between visits due to her postponements and cancellations. I ended up very dehydrated and she was not concerned. At that point, I found another physician at another hospital who listened to me and immediately found my problem. I gave her a one star rating, but she doesn't even deserve that. I am very disappointed in UVA for supporting a physician of her caliber.

I could not possibly ask for a better doctor. Dr. Frye was the first doctor to actually believe me, treat me like a partner in my own care, and help me get back to 100% after a long (sick, frustrating, fight for my life) search and bad experiences with other GIs.
