My experience with this Dr was the absolute with.
She was my Dr in 2017 when I was around 5 and half months my water broke I went to the hospital and she wouldn’t even come in my room to speak with me after waiting hours she did no test told me it was normal but they wanted to admit me this is the last time I had ever seen her. When I tried to go back to my next appointment she “fired” me effectively barring me for life from using ANY icons at spark hosptial. After finding this out I quickly rushed to find a dr. I did luckily. After seeing my new dr st.edwards, he admitted me right away. Where I had multiple blood transfusions. I had a placental abruption while leaking out almost all my amniotic fluid. I was then life-flighted to Tulsa, Oklahoma in the L&D cause I would have to have an emergency c-section. On 12-07-17 she was born unfortunately there was nothing to be done at the point I had to deliver her at 25W 6D. She lived for 18 days and she passed away on 12-25.

Don't use her.
I had to use her as my regular ob left the area and I started feeling so dizzy I was unable to get up she dismissed me and after finding out I had gestational diabetes she didn't put it in my chart. The pharmacy and myself had to continually fight her to get my glucometer she never gave me information on it just told me to write down what I ate and what my sugar was. I went for my appointment and she complained about my notebook size and then yelled at me for eating cereal stating it was the 'kiss of death' and making me feel horrible by yelling at me for not reading the material she never gave me. I switched Dr's the same day. When I called they tried to get me to stay with her. She also kept sending me home from the hospital in labor, up until my water broke because she was the ob on call when I would go in. This was in 2017 on the diabetes and 2018 when my son was born.

I went to Dr. Householder for a bladder lift and hysterectomy on June 26, 2023 I was sent home the same day and became more ill each day. I was taken by my neighbor to my local hospital. They diagnosed me with a bowel obstruction and I was sent by ambulance back to Ft. Smith where I had to have emergency surgery by another surgeon. My kidneys were also failing. I was in the hospital for three days. Her insurance carrier refused to reimburse for the second surgery which was over $35,000. Not counting the additional help I needed to recover. I required in hospital physical therapy just to walk.

Will NOT be returning as a patient of Dr. Householder, first and last time. After waiting for 1.5 hours past scheduled appointment time, she offered no apology for the delay. When asked if the annual well-woman exam would include a preventative breast exam, she scoffed and said it’s against OBGYN regulation for the past 15 years (even though it’s been conducted at every single annual exam I’ve ever had with other providers). She stated doctors should not be doing it because patients should do it themselves, and suggested I schedule a mammogram if concerned. She also referred me for a pelvic ultrasound for a condition that has never once been mentioned by any of my past gynecologists. She did not make me feel comfortable at any point throughout the visit and I felt she was just rushing me through the exam, referring me for additional unnecessary appointments. Would not recommend her as a provider.

Dr. Householder, talks over you, is dismissive of symptoms or concerns, and once her exam and ultrasound showed normal, I asked her what the next steps were because I was still in pain. Her exact words to me were, " I am not saying you are making it up, but I think your anxiety about it is the problem. I mean, what do you want for me to do, pull you into a surgery room, and shove a scope in you? I will refer you to pelvic floor PT because you have a tense vagina." Turns out I had an UTI and had to get a CT scan for kidney stones. I put off care for almost a week after seeing her because I did think I was crazy. My primary care doctor referred me to a different gynecologist who requested records AND WITHOUT seeing me put a referral in for a urologist who found the issue. It isn't so much that she didn't diagnose something outside of her speciality, I understand that. It is that she was so dismissive, belittling, and made me feel crazy. If you are sick, scared, and looking for help finding a diagnosis or need some reassurance, she will ABSOLUTELY not listen or help you. I guess if you need a pap smear, she could do it, but if you had abnormal results, heaven forbid, she probably wouldn't even call you back.

Dr. Householder is an amazing doctor.
She truly cares about her patients. She had so much compassion during my losses. She also delivered both my children via c-section, did my tubal, and hysterectomy years later. She is very upfront, which I appreciate. Very trustworthy doctor. She will never know how much I appreciated her help and guidance when I needed it.

I've been several times, and Dr. Householder has operated on me as well. I find her forthright and honest, with practical conversation. I could see that she might be a bit off-putting, as while she can be kind she can also be frank. She will gladly take the time to explain anything that I didn't understand, patiently answered my questions, even the same ones on more than one visit.

She was great at first. Very kind and spent time answering questions. Delivered my baby. But then she changed. I don't know if personal issues affected her or just her schedule being too hectic but she changed. And then she wasn't nice anymore and the exams weren't appropriate at times and she missed important diagnoses such as the fact that I had multiple large uterine fibroids. She refused to do a hysterectomy citing I may some day want babies again even though I absolutely do not, projecting.

Dr. Householder is outstanding. I've had several appointments with her. She always takes time with me and answers all my questions. I find her extremely knowledgeable. She gives me all the options and information but doesn't pressure me. She recently did a surgery for me that went extremely well at my advanced age. She used a robot and laparoscope surgery. She reported to my daughter right after the surgery and came to my room both days to check on my care and discharge me. I highly recommend!

My husband and I love Dr. Householder, she listens to what was wrong, discussed options with us and was able to pinpoint the problem and find a solution. She treats you like a friend instead of just chart number. We recommend her to everyone needing a obgyn.
