Two successful cataract surgeries! St. Luke's South Surgery Center was superb! Appointments with Dr. Wongs were quick, informative, and efficient. I am thankful I went to a locally based Grin Eye Clinic with a great team supporting Dr. Wongs work! Best outcome: seeing beautiful colors and small print again!

I recently had cataract surgery which corrected astigmatism and distance vision. Prior to the surgery, I could only see things 6' from my face with out glasses. Dr Wongs recommended a newer lens replacement (Light Adjustable Lenses) which allowed the lens to be adjusted after implanted in my eye, correcting for the astigmatism and vision issues. After the procedure, I can read and see distance with out glasses! My surgery was done at St Luke's South Surgery Center and I was very comfortable with that center and the staff. Everyone, from Dr Wongs, Grin Eye Care staff and St Lukes South Surgery Center staff, spent time explaining everything and ensuring that everything went well. The follow-up appointments and care from Dr. Wongs has been excellent. I would highly recommend Dr. Wongs, Grin Eye Care, and St Luke's South Surgery Center.

I first want to say that Dr. Jeff Wongs is a great person and good communicator. He is kind, friendly and a good listener. He spends quality time with patients, answers all questions and just happens to also be an outstanding, highly skilled and thorough physician. I recently had a Fuch's Dystrophy surgery performed by Dr. Wongs utilizing the DMEK procedure. He was the first physician in Kansas City to use this relative new procedure. The DMEK procedure is somewhat more difficult to perform and requires additional training which he acquired. The procedure lasted a mere 20 minutes or so. Most importantly, the outcome for the patient's vision, and in my case, was nothing short of incredible. In closing, I want to say again that Dr. Jeff Wongs is an incredible Cornea specialist and surgeon. He is a wonderful person. I recommend him highly and those of you who have Fuch's Dystrophy, the DMEK surgery is the most current up to date procedure and Dr. Jeff is your man to perform it. Jim B.

Dr. Wongs has treated me for cataracts (lens replacement) and most recently for a cornea transplant. All the surgeries were successful and I would highly recommend Dr. Wongs and Grin EyeCare.

Dr. Wongs is amazing! His knowledge of cataracts and their effects on vision is comprehensive and complete. He identified the cataracts I had in July, and I had surgery the end of September to remove them. The lenses he recommended are the 'light adjustable lens' by RXSight. The results I have are beyond amazing. I went from being legally blind to having 20/20 distance vision less than 24 hours after both surgeries! I couldn't be happier with my outcome. Great bedside manner, extremely thorough and intuitive. He answered all my questions. If you need cataract surgery, make Dr. Wongs your first choice. He is first-rate! I have been recommending him to everyone who is even considering cataract surgery.

I recently had cataract surgery and chose insertion of the topic tense, which corrects for astigmatism and distance vision. I have been very impressed with Dr. Wongs and with all the office personnel at Grin Eye Care. Dr. Wongs is very personable, professional and the outcome of my eye surgery was wonderful. I now have 20-20 distance vision and NO astigmatism! My surgery was done at St. Luke's outpatient surgery center and I also felt very comfortable with that center and the staff. Everyone, from Dr Wongs to all of the St Lukes staff spent time explaining everything and ensuring that everything went well. The follow-up appointments and care from Dr. Wongs have been excellent. I'm in my 70's, still very active, and don't go to the doctor much or take meds, so I am not easily impressed. But I would recommend Dr. Wongs and Grin Eye Care whole-heartedly to you.
