Dr. Berger is excellent. He really listens. He is Very kind and intuitive, has a gentle way of getting to the heart of problem. I feel so much better than I did when I started seeing him.

I will make this short and to the point. Dr. Berger needs to retire. I saw him from December of 2015 to September of 2020, and over the last year with him, he basically "checked out." He made negative remarks about my struggle with BED, and gave zero guidance on the things I asked him for help with. He would say what I needed to do, but not help me build skills to do so which I had specifically told him I needed. The real icing on the cake (sarcastic) was what he told my dad. I was planning on moving to Eugene, OR. Initially, Dr. Berger said he would Zoom with me until I was settled in down there. However, a few visits prior to when the move was set to happen, he became unwilling to Zoom while I transitioned into Eugene and finding a new provider. The move ended up falling through the week after my last appt. with Dr. Berger. He had the gall to tell my dad (who called regarding medications (Dr. Berger was pretty much unwilling to help in this regard either) that I "FIRED HIM!

Dr. Berger is a warm, caring doctor. I am SO glad I was able to have him as my psychiatrist. I was in crisis for so many years and he was there always to talk things through!! I will always think of him with fondness and friendship!!

I came to Dr. Berger with depression and insomnia. He prescribed amitriptyline which took care of both. I have a great deal of experience with psychotherapy. I was particularly impressed with Dr. Berger's listening skills and his ability to hone in on problem areas. His questions were always appropriate and to the point. He is one of the best psychiatrist's I have seen over a long lifetime.
