I’ve been seeing Dr Carlin for 6 years. I love him! I’ve had my fair share of rheums considering Ive had RA for over 30 years. Dr Carlin is one of the best. He has a no nonsense style but is also VERY caring and empathetic. Highly recommend.

Dr. Carlin has terrible bedside manners. I have been living with RA for 7yrs and he told me I was only drug seeking that was my last appointment with him.

One of the worst doctors I have ever seen. I have no idea why he practices. Incompetent as well as incurious. Described my disfiguring condition in the cruelest terms a high school bully would use. He didn't look at me during the interview, not once, kept his face glued to his computer screen. After a crude examination, he left the room. I waited 15 minutes in my hospital gown for him to come back. Eventually an assistant came in the room to clean up. Told me the appointment was over, he just didn't say so, or terminate it. If I could take away his right to practice I would.

This guy has an ego that won't quit. He didn't listen to what I had to say, and because of that, instead of having my meniscus repaired, I ended up with a total knee replacement. He also gave me a cortisone shot that only lasted a day because he was acting like such a cowboy. Avoid at all costs!

As a doctor Dr Carlin is pretty good, but his charges are exorbitant and deceptive. He charges $431 for an appointment (spent 15 minutes with me). I pay $290 of that after insurance negotiates down his rate. On top of that was $170 for the blood test and routine x-ray he ordered. Nearly $500 out the door. Charged me at the new patient rate (higher than followups) even though I'm not a new patient. I first saw him 4 yrs ago. VM refused to adjust and didn't disclose beforehand.

I would not recommend Dr. Carlin to anyone! He was very unprofessional and made a very crude comment to me when I left after waiting an extended amount of time for him to discuss test results. Long wait times in this office.

I thought he was very impatient. I had an injection in my shoulder. I moved a bit and he was not happy about it. I can understand his reaction, but I saw an orthopedic doctor after this. After I had an MRI, It was determined that my pain was not because of arthritis, it was due to a tear in my shoulder. I would have to have surgery to repair it, so the injection was not helpful or needed. Also, I felt he was not understanding or patient about my RA symptoms.
