DR CARTER WAS Extraordinary!! Do NOT GO BUY bad reviews! He explained everything, made me laugh, he told me I would be OK! I’m 56 yrs old and he pulled two of my teeth out and I am doing great! I’m afraid of the dentist! His staff was BEYOND AMAZING!! I highly recommend Dr Carter and his FANTASTIC STAFF! I’ll be a patient for life!!

I had a terrible experience. He rushed through the procedure and him & his nurses were not friendly whatsoever. Avoid this doctor like the plague.

Dr. Carter took great care of me. Listened to all if my concerns and explained the upcoming procedure. Was confirming and kind. Though coming into the office in a lot of pain, I am now recovering with minimal discomfort. I would recommend him to so done looking for a reasonably priced oral surgeon.

Totally uncaring. I’ve never had a doctor so abrupt and rough with his treatments. I had a wisdom tooth extracted and it turned into dry socket. Never had so much pain in my mouth. I followed up (myself) and saw Carter. He packed the raw space where the tooth used to be. The man jammed this piece of gauze on top of raw nerves and I almost went through the roof. I’ll never ever ever go back to the Oral Surgery Institute in Nashville. They’re a bunch of hacks.

My wife went to dr. Carter to have a wisdom tooth removed. After the surgery we were told everything went great. Little did we know the speech impairment that she gained from her surgery was because Dr Carter and cut her nerve now she has permanent numbness in her face her tongue and a speech impediment like she is a stroke victim. Dr Carter says he's been doing this for 42 years and he's perform hundreds of surgeries but he can't tell us any answers of why this happened. I would never recommend

I ran out of spaces on my previous review. I was treated by Dr. Carter. I developed an infection and was transported to Vanderbilt WE via ambulance. They were stabilizing me for surgery. I was told that I would be in CCU and perhaps on a ventilator. I called Dr. Carter but could only speak with his nurse. I told her of my terrible infection and pending surgery. I asked her to let Dr. Carter know that I wouldn't make the follow up the next day because I was having surgery. Dr. Carter never called

He burned my face using a saw when doing TMJ surgery on me 24 years ago. He told me the skin stretched.even though I had a blistering, he said this. He was also very harsh in bedside manner
