Dr. Farber was amazing with my 10 year old daughter who had two broken arms from jumping out of a swing and had to have surgery on her elbow. He was very knowledgeable and did an amazing job!!!!! I couldn’t have picked a better doctor to take care of my daughter!!! We were so thankful and blessed with him!!

Very happy with the care we received with Dr. Farber. His personality put my 7 year old and me at ease, and it was clear from the beginning that he had our child's best interest as his top priority. After our office visit my child was hospitalized and Dr. Farber visited our family daily with updates on what tests he was recommending and why and what the next steps were. I always felt like a partner in the decision making and he gained trust by saying how he would proceed if it were his child. As a surgeon I commend him for his suggestion to cancel our surgery based on the progress our child had made in treatment. I look forward to seeing him again soon for follow-up.

Dr. Farber definitely chose the right career, he is amazing with kids. Offered lots of information and never acted like he was in a hurry. I would recommend him to any parent who needed a great Orthopedist!

Dr. Farber and his team are wonderful with children. The atmosphere is very upbeat and the doctor spends time getting to know each patient and their injury, all while getting you in and out of the office in a reasonable time. I was impressed with the efficiency with which his team operates, carefully coordinating the initial exam, treatment, x-rays, etc. so that the doctor and nurses can quickly move from room to room with very little downtime in between. These folks really hustle and yet you can tell that they all really love their jobs. Overall, just a very pleasant place to be.

My son broke his scaphoid and Dr. Farber explained clearly what the issue was and the plan going forward. He makes you feel like a person not just a patient.

When my daughter broke her arm, Dr Farber performed the surgery and follow-up. I have no complaints. He explained things thoroughly and seemed compassionate (despite seeing this every day). While I can see how his personality could be off-putting to some, so far as I can tell he did a great job on my daughter’s arm. As our situation was an emergency with few options, I was glad when a hospital nurse highly praised his work; it’s hard to entrust your kiddos to anyone these days! All in all, if you’ve broken a bone, I think Dr Farber is a good, experienced surgeon.

Dr. Farber is great! He has helped 2 of my children now. We recently used him for a broken arm on my 5 yr old. He' professional and has great bedside manner.

Dr Farber has a friendly and knowledgeable approach that appealed to me as a mom and to my 13 year old son. He also stayed on schedule and we were in and out much quicker than expected.

Dr. Farber was great. My daughter broke her ankle, and he did a great job sharing her diagnosis and answering our questions. He was very friendly and my daughter enjoyed his humor.

Dr.Farber seen my 2 year old for a broken elbow...he got us right in and was very open with us about what needed to be done. He was very nice! We see him again in a few days for surgery

He keeps talking out both sides of his mouth about our child's condition. And is bitter because we didn't opt for surgery. He's lucky he didn't need surgery himself with how he behaved

Wow! I'm really surprised by the 1-star reviews. He was excellent with my son, and we couldn't have asked for a more thorough, professional, great experience with excellent bedside manner. We had to wait a little bit, but not an unreasonable amount of time. The lobby was packed! I highly recommend Dr. Farber and the staff at Iowa Ortho.
