Dr. Jeffrey Goldstein, MD

I have seen Dr. Goldstein now for over fifteen years going back to his practice at Rochester General and then followed him to The University of Rochester’s FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, as he is one of the finest Physicians I have ever encountered. I have always found Dr. Goldstein generous with his time, caring and compassionate, and who listens to what I have to say. I have never felt rushed with Dr. Goldstein. Over the years he has performed many procedures with not one problem ever. He has my complete trust and always will.

Every element of care was rapid and good natured. I’ll have far less anxiety over future visits.

Dr. Goldstein is an absolutely wonderful Gastroenterologist. He and his staff have always been available to me when my GI issues flair up. He is an excellent diagnostician and a very kind caring doctor. I would recommend him to everyone.

Dr Goldstein was able to diagnose and treat a condition that I have had my entire life. He is very compassionate, a great listener, and a tremendous healer. He is the top in his field!

If you have any other choice, don't go to this doctor. You will waste your money and get a rude treatment.

Has an unstable, angry and belligerent disposition and will raise his voice at patients over minor concerns. Forgetful of past tests, that in his own words have notable results. Jeff is a poor communicator, he loses track of what he was saying mid-sentence then abruptly moves on to a different topic, and doesn't expand on findings of procedures done. Lashes out and will blame the patient if their treatment is not having expected results. Speaks in generic phrases that show a lack of understanding of symptoms expressed and the medical field he specializes in. Will talk openly about your health in the hallway after office visits in front of other staff and patients who can hear raising privacy concerns.

After Dr. Goldstein did a procedure on me and he got me my results we were to have a meeting and I had to cancel it because I had to be out of town. I asked his office administrator if it was possible for me to speak with him before our next meeting which was over a month away. An hour later Dr. Goldstein called me and spoke with me In an unhurried way and answered my questions thoughtfully. He also gave me some ideas about what I could do to improve my health before we met next.

Awful doctor. Very rude and always running late.

Really rude and unprofessional. Only thing he pays attention is to try take as more money as he can from your pocket. He lacks basic respect and concern to patient.

Dr Goldstein is very compassionate and knowledgeable who has gone that extra mile to help me as well as my friends and family get better. gastroenterology is an art and a science and Dr Goldstein combines this as well as a great communicator. He diagnoses and explains complex problems to patients is a way they can understand their issues. He gives patients hope to help them to heal. Dr Goldstein is very detailed oriented to get to the root of the problem. Dr Goldstein is not only a wonderful physician he is a great person.

Dr. Goldstein talks constantly, he did not listen to me at all. He also did not read my previous doctor’s notes, a doctor I had been with for 30 years. Then Dr. Goldstein entered incorrect notes into MyChart, and argued with me when I called him the day after my appointment. Horrible bedside manner, does not listen to his patient.

As far as a doctor he was good but...... watch out he codes wrong and you will get stuck paying a high bill to him for wrong code! This is our medical people who we are suppose to trust !! Where has it gone ! Poor people like myself with high deductible insurance are getting taken advantage of !!

Trying to schedule an appointment to see this Dr. Goldstein. it's been one week so far and nothing. I called today and they told me to call back in two more days to talk with the nurse. She can't talk with me because she is sooooo busy scheduling appointments for two doctors (oh my!!!). My sense is this office is scheduling appointments using 18th century technology or the scheduling nurse is absolutely incompetent. Not sure which. I'll let you know when I talk with her.

Dr. Goldstein is a remarkable surgeon who really knows his stuff. He has kept me comfortable, confident, and assured through the whole procedure. He took care when I had complications at one point stemming from something that was discovered during tests and colonoscopy and endoscopy. We are doing more testing now together. Dr. Goldstein has been here every step of the way and even built in time to his busy schedule to see me when it was needed on an urgent basis. Great doctor!!!

So far Dr. Goldstein has thrown tests at my husband and then has his nurse/technician do all the follow up with NO game plan. Extremely frustrated. My husband has been sick for 3 years now.

Dealt with Ulcerative Colitis which he refused to treat or diagnose because his partner did my colonoscopy. Went into to see him with a very distended abdomen and was NOT given an exam just an RX for antibiotics and told it was SIBO. Ended up at my colorectal's office a few weeks later in EXTREME pain. I was IMPACTED with almost 20lbs of fecal matter. If Dr. Goldstein would have done his job and given me a physical exam instead of throw antibiotics at me it would not have been as bad as it ended

Unlike the other reviews I had a wonderful experience with Dr.Goldstein! Not only did he find out what was causing my sharp pain in my stomach but he was also very helpful in explaining the recovery process. I felt very comfortable and safe in his hands and I would recommend him to future patients.

After going to several doctors to find the source of my pain, I was referred to Dr. Goldstein by a family friend. She said he was the best and if he couldn't fix your problem then there wasn't anyone who could! She was so right! After taking an extensive history and reviewing my tests he proceeded to eventually find the solution! I can't thank him enough for giving me back my quality of life. BLESS YOU, DR. GOLDSTEIN

Absolutely awful. Never received my test results. I called and never got return phone calls. I had previously been under the care of a wonderful gastro doctor for many years before moving here. Never had a problem. Dr Goldstein didn't even know the medications I was on. When I discussed them with him he was completely misinformed. I would tell NO ONE to see him. One of the worst doctors I have ever seen!!!

Terrible doctor who didn't figure out what was wrong with me, and when I tried to get my records from him, he had lost them. He called my primary doctor and bad mouthed me causing him to discharge me from his practice.
