My husband, a man of color, visited this doctor for chronic back and stomach pain. We've been to two other doctors who have not been able to figure out the problem but did their best to try. He's had a colonoscopy, been told to take Zantac 75, and has been sent to Physical Therapy. None of the tests have pinpointed the problem. None of the treatments have made a significant improvement. We thought Dr. Henry would at least have another idea as he has a good reputation in Hays. He felt my husband's back over his shirt and told him to start taking Prilosec, ignoring the fact that my husband had taken Zantac--which has been taken off the shelves since it's been linked to cancer. My husband then mentioned that he wears Salonpas patches when the pain is unbearable, to which Dr. Henry replied, "You keep doing that, " and sent him out the door. The bill for the visit was $170 after insurance. My husband still has tremendous pain and no answers.

I was very pleased to learn that Dr. Henry came back to Hays. I had an appointment for a yearly checkup today and everyone was very pleasant and friendly. When Dr. Henry came in he put me at ease almost immediately. He listened to everything I had to say, asked me several questions about my health, and checked me out for a physical. Very thorough! I'm a real worry wart when it comes to going to the doctor, but he makes my visit easy and I feel comfortable talking to him. On another note, I didn't think about it at the time I was in but their was NO SCRIBE in the room with me. Fantastic!!!! Makes the visit with the doctor so much better when you can say what ever is on your mind, just to him instead of having someone writing everything down. Just the way it should be patient and doctor. GREAT!!!! Thanks....
