Disappointing
I was referred to Dr. Karr. My first visit went decent. He seemed a little bothered by the fact that I had to call my specialist before I took any medication. I have a very extensive medical history. I have been to Clev. Clinic, Moffit and Tampa General. I have been ordered not to take anything without notifying my specialist first for the approval. Dr. Karr still was trying to override what I said, Even telling me I was wrong or confused.Well, guess what I’m not confused at all and he was very wrong for being so argumentative with me. I offered to give him my records so he can see what my specialist says, and he dismisses that quickly, and says I don’t need that! But apparently he did need that, because he doesn’t know what he’s talking about! If that was going to be my podiatrist, there’s no way, That I would trust him with my care after that! I left the office very upset that day, and I knew I wasn’t going back by the way he talked to me in the office.

A doctor who studies globally
Dr.Karr is absolutely the best in his field. I was looking at major debridement surgery. And/Or a possible amputation, from calcaneal osteomyelitis. I went to him for a second opinion. Two minimal procedures later, and I'm back working and walking . He even pushed back against insurance when they thought one of the procedures wasn't necessary. Thank you Dr.Karr for restoring my foot and life.

Extensive previous records were sent to him regarding my ankle and broken toe. My primary referred me because a surgeon pushed my toe out with a rod and it curls under and bleeds nonstop, and the first knuckle needs removed. He obviously didn't bother to read them. I qualified and have a power chair because there are only a handful of bones left in my ankle and they are afraid they will crumble. First thing he asked is why am I not talking, that a boot would make me walk. Tried to explain to him with many interruptions of him talking about how he knows it all, that they tried again last year to make a boot but it will not work because my foot is connected in a way that it faces right, too crooked for a shoe. The broken toe curls under and the end is worn off and bleeds constantly and he said he would just snip a tendon, which will not help a toe pushed out by a rod stay straight. I took x-rays, photos, etc and he wouldn't even look. Doctors think everybody who comes in worship

This doctor is amazing. I had an amputation done 2 years ago. He saved a majority of my foot so i can still walk on it with a cane or knee walker. Yes i still have problems and probably will for the rest of my life. But with him by my side and knowing his profession i will have a good doctor for a long time

I had a great appointment with Dr. Karr. He addressed all of my concerns and took an X-ray. He seems to be blunt but I don't mind that. I would rather have someone who knows what they are doing, and not be phony. He and his office were very professional and kind. Will recommend to anyone

Dr. Karr was very rude with poor bedside manners during a visit, when the issue was brought up to him by the family member (because it was previously expressed by the patient and later witnessed by that family member) he threatened to discontinue services to the elderly patient. The patient later passed away but this will always be a hurtful memory.

Dr Karr is AWESOME, I go to him every other month, He talks to you explains everything and answers all your questions. I have heard someone say before, Oh he is mean, Well its not that he is mean, If you don't take care of what he told you to and how to do it, then he is not gonna be happy because then your wasting his time and your not getting better, He is a Dr but he can only do so much and tell you how to take care of yourself! I have been into the office and waited 5 minutes and was called right back, and I have been in his office when I have had to wait an hour, But this just tells you how Great of a Dr he is, LOTS of Patients...He will have me as a Patient as long as I can be there...I recommend Dr Karr To ANY and ALL Patients In Need Of Foot Care!!! He Is The Best...The Staff here are on top of things and are as busy as Dr. Karr, Love It>>>Great Dr with Great Staff, Thank You Dr, Karr and Staff. Sincerely Cheryl

I would not complain about your insurance problems that the doctor office can not control. I went there yesterday got right in and I was done and out in thirty minutes. I like doctor Karr and his staff. They are always nice and friendly. I give them credit for all the rude patients I see they have to deal with at the front desk. This is a good office.

Dr. Karr has been treating me since August 3, 2019 he is a exceptional doctor; On my first visit I came to him with a sprained ankle which I had experienced pain with for several months, Then soon after RSD set in,He assured me if I followed his exercises to do at home it hopefully will go away! His treatment consist of treating my nerves in my feet of which went numb, at times would burn at times would hurt to even stand on. I had to put my feet I. Cold water then hot water, use a rolling pin on my feet, pick up marbles with my toes, use a feather duster to my feet to wake up the nerves in my feet, and I also massages my feet constantly fit 3 months till on my most recent visit Dr Karr asked how I was ? And I said , you know what ? You fixed me!??! I am ever so Gratefull for this Doctor for his Knowledge ! And his staff is great too! Thank You Dr Karr!

I have used Dr. Karr for almost two years and find him and his office to be efficient and professional. I am very pleased with his services. I started using him when I lived in Palm Harbor Florida (Tampa Bay area) and since moving to Ft. Myers I drive to Lakeland because I like his services.

Dr. Karr scheduled surgery on my hammer toe & never once ask me to stand up so he could see what my toes do. I ask about whether third toe would be in the way after correcting second toe, he said no. After surgery my second toe now overlaps my third toe, then tells me there is not enough room, but he could schedule a second surgery on third toe. This should all have been done at the same time. I would have a whole other co-pay, recovery ect. I wasted my time and money.
