Long wake & dismissive
My appointment started 1 hour 15 minutes late. No apology for the wait. My symptoms were dismissed as typical for someone my age. I was given an injection and told the numbness would wear off in 1 hour. It’s now 24 hours later and the area is still paralyzed.

Annual Knee Replacement Check Up
This was my 2-year check up for two knee replacements. The registration person was efficient, friendly, & professional. The X-ray technician was also friendly & provided clear step-by-step instructions. The doctor’s assistant was equally pleasant as she updated my records. She was conversational & caring as she made notes of my responses to their standard questions regarding my overall health. The physician assistant provided a review of my X-rays and physically examined my knees testing range of motion, walking, & muscle strength all the while inquiring about any limitations or issues I may be experiencing. He was very thorough, explained everything in detail, answered my questions, & was patient & caring. Since the doctor was still tied up his personal assistant reviewed all the details of my visit & we both agreed that my progress was excellent. She was very informative and kind as well. The entire staff at OrthoIllinois is amazing, knowledgeable, & accommodating.
