Favorite Doctor
I have been a patient with Dr. Manchio for over 4 years and I have had robotic surgery and been under his constant care since. He is very, very considerate of my feelings and explains everything in depth to me. I never feel rushed during my appointments. My questions are always answered and I don’t feel inadequate to ask him anything. We also visit on a friendship basis. In my 80 years he’s my favorite doctor and I’ve had two others. I feel very lucky to have him as my doctor.

Horrible person to work with
Dr. Manchio is very condescending. Did not want to help me take time off of work to continue to heal. Without asking me what I do for work said would not extend my leave. Also his staff set up my post operation appointments and he got mad at me for coming in at 4 weeks instead of 6 weeks, not my fault his staff didn’t know how far out to make the appointment.

Dr. Manchio and his staff were incredibly professional, informative, and made me feel comfortable throughout my entire treatment. I particularly loved his nurse that prepped me for my initial office visit, she was excellent at calming my nerves. My surgery was successful, my pain was tolerable, and I healed nicely with no infection. I received texts daily to check on my progress, but didn't see them the first week because my phone sent them to spam, so check your spam folder after surgery. I would highly recommend his office.

Instead of my specialist copay I normally pay, apparently they charged me without telling me for the doctor to take a glance inside with no special equipment for a basic exam with no special equipment beyond what a gyno would use so I assumed a basic exam was covered in a visit. It was not. This amounted to major cost difference which I was never alerted to and I would have had second thoughts about bc the hemorroids exam (around $550) was not relevant anyway, according to Dr. Manchio himself.

Wonderful young up and coming surgeon with a great career ahead of him. i was very pleased with his care and concern. He saw a potential problem on the first visit and wanted to see me, again, for further examination to make sure I was in the clear with certainty.

Dr. Manchio is extremely knowledgeable in his field. He is caring and honest in his explanations and recommendations. He completed a total colectomy with j-pouch construction on my husband and gave him his life back. We live about 5 hours away from Dr.Manchio's office and would travel weekly to receive care from him if this was needed. We have also been so pleased with the other office staff as well.

I visited Dr. Manchino with what I thought was clear rectal fluid leakage due to internal hemmoroids. I had no incontinence. After three internal hemmoroids were removed, I still had the original complaint. Dr. Manchino informed me it was "sweat". I now have frequent incontinence, which Dr. Manchino says is due to diet. I have been ruined.

He is a professional, caring, and compassionate individual. The information given pre-surgery and post-surgery was helpful in facilitating healing. His office staff is courteous. I was consistently roomed with 10 minutes of my appointment and generally seen by the Doctor within 5-6 minutes.

Dr. Manchio did a very quick exam. After the exam he returned to give me one piece of paper on fiber. I tried to ask ONE question, he stood up and walked out of the room saying, and I quote, "I don't have time for this. I'm a SURGEON!!!!!!" I was shocked! I have never been treated so badly. And to really make it worse I received an enormous bill. I can't stress enough how bad my experience was with Manchio.

I was a patient of Dr. Manchio's when he was with IHA in Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti MI. He performed colon surgery, removing 25% of my lower colon due to a mass, which turned out to be benign. It was a laparoscopic procedure. The healing went fine, and no colostomy bag, but hindsight the bag might've helped with healing. Now I have adhesions/scarring and fistula where my lower colon was reconnected. Also, vaginal bleeding, hysterectomy years ago. Never had bleeding before this surgery.

I made an appointment at Northwest Center for Colorectal Health to get some relief from an external hemorrhoid. Doctor Manchio did an exam, but nothing else. There wasn't any treatment of any sort. Unfortunately I was charged as if I had surgery. I contested the bill and was told that by doing the exam (something more than talking) it is coded as surgery. If I would have received ANY sort of help or relief, I wouldn't be writing this review. No help/relief, big bill.
