Grateful for Dr Mullins in Chattanooga
Dr Mullins removed my prostate in 2022 due to cancer. Full recovery with no complaints. Dr Mullins always responsive with questions. In my case, Dr Mullins has proven himself to make correct decisions every step of the way for 3 years. Being treated at CHI was a solid decision. You have an experienced surgeon in control of every aspect of the surgery, which was something I did not appreciate earlier in the process. Now that I am facing recurrence, Dr Mullins continues to guide my care and I am grateful to have him as a trusted partner. Don't let the front office discourage you, getting into Dr Mullins care is worth the effort. He will answer all your questions, cares about your individual case, and is a man of action.

Excellent Surgeon!
Dr. Mullins is an outstanding surgeon of the highest caliber. I am so grateful he was the surgeon that removed a difficult positioned cyst in my abdomen. With the robotic surgery he employed I was left very comfortable and free of pain within days of the procedure! I am fully functional again in less than a week!

Dr Mullins Great, Schedulers Not
He is a very good doctor in all aspects. My husband went to see him a couple of years ago and now being treated as a New Patient. That is fine, but it has been almost 2 weeks since I first called to get him an appointment until now we haven't gotten it. A staff lied about their office not receiving lab results and medical release from Fast Pace, the second time I called after calling Fast Pace said they got it, Friday July 14th. Somebody called a couple of days and said they will look at the results and schedule him. How long is a patient gonna wait to be seen? Funny, because every time you call the first thing you hear is your call is VERY IMPORTANT to us! I will be sending a letter to the Board of Directors of Memorial since they are not putting patients' health a priority.

Telehealth unreliable.
I am an existing patient waiting for lab results to be explained. Telehealth was scheduled for Jan12th and was reschedule by office for Jan 23rd. No one called me. I called the next day and Telehealth rescheduled for Jan 26 at noon. No one called me. I called back Jan 23rd afternoon and I was told someone would call before the end of the day. No one called. Telehealth rescheduled for February 13th. No one called. I am still waiting for someone to review my labs and provide next step for wellness.

Doctor Mullins is the kindest, most genuine, down-to-Earth, humble doctor I have ever met. He is also extremely smart, highly trained, and incredibly creative, which is just what you want in a surgeon. For reference, I have been a registered nurse for three years at another large hospital, and, having met many doctors, I do not say that lightly. From his Patagonia vest to his Bob Ross socks, Doctor Mullins stands out from his peers. When we went to see him for the first time, it was after having received nothing but nightmarish news from the urology team at Erlanger, over a very protracted time line. After being told about us at 9PM by a colleague, Dr. Mullins saw us in his office at 9AM the very next day. Within that time he had reviewed my husband’s case, thought through multiple scenarios, and formulated a plan that was vastly superior to any we had heard prior. He allowed my husband’s entire family, all five of us, back for the consultation. We didn’t have to wait long. When the doctor came in, he looked my husband in the eye, shook his hand, and sat down in front of him. He said that the first thing he wanted to do was save my husband’s life. And the second thing he wanted to do was save his quality of life. He didn’t promise he could do it; but he promised that he would try. He scheduled a PET scan for the very next week, and surgery for the week following. Everything happened so quickly, which is something you are extremely grateful for when dealing with a fast-growing cancer. Fast forward and we’re two weeks post-op. The surgery went just as expected, per the pathology report, my husband is now cancer free. The team at Memorial provide us with so much support, and Dr. Mullins has continued to be kind and responsive, just as he was in the beginning. This is personal to me because of the incredible service that this doctor has given us. My husband is uninsured, and this man has donated his time and energy to us, out of the goodness of his heart. What I can tell you without a doubt in my heart is this: When you are at your most vulnerable and needing someone to save your life, Dr. Mullins is that guy. He will make you feel listened to. He will make you feel safe. He will make you feel cared for. That is incredibly rare in this day and age. On my license and my reputation, both of which I take very seriously: I could not recommend a doctor more highly.

Dr. Mullins CURED me of Prostate Cancer, with very little of the side effects that come with this serious operation. He does a cutting edge prostatectomy procedure, that not many surgeons are trained to do..... His bedside manner and compassion cant be matched anywhere. 5 STARS+

Dr. Mullins was kind and thorough and very knowledgeable in the cancer I had in my kidney. He preformed a robotic nefrectomy. Recovery was pretty easy considering and his office was very helpful when I did hit a few bumps. He's a great man and surgeon and even gave me his cell number should I encounter any issues. I am very thankful he lives right here in Chattanooga as he is easily one of the best surgeons of this kind.

I am a retired law enforcement officer and was referred to Dr. Mullins by Dr. Mark Crago, my personal MD. A mass had been found on my kidney incidental to some back problems I was being treated for by Dr. Crago. When I met with Dr. Mullins, he had all my info., scans, and x rays and immediately made a diagnosis and scheduled surgery. It was Dr. Mullins' confidence gave great comfort to me and my wife. The procedure went as predicted. Dr. Mullins is compassionate, personable, and trustworthy.

I was referred to Dr Mullins by Dr Mark Crago who is absolutely awesome himself. I am a retired Sgt/LEO from Fl. This gentleman is one of the best doctors I have EVER come across. He is very polite. He takes his time and explains everything in detail so you understand. This is a perfect example..and Dr Crago...of how a doctor should be. When I left him I felt assured I was in the best of hands. Highly Highly recommended...His staff that assisted me was at the same level...PERFECT
