This visit objective was to determine if my meds are effective, especially those that address diabetes. Based on a test result they appear to work. The Dr. reviewed all my current meds and renewed them for another year. The Dr. is leaving the clinic and I will not be dealing with him anymore.

Dr. Jeffrey Thomas treats you like a person / patient and not just a number. He is no nonsense and gets to the point quickly but still has time to listen to you. Between what he is able to diagnose and the referals he provides he does his best to determine what is going on in your body. His recent weight loss is an inspiration to his patients to take a bigger interest in doing what they can to take care of their own health. This recommendation is more for his next position as he is leaving Lovelace at the end of 2021.

Dr. Thomas reviewed and explained recent bloodtest results. Discussed my current medications and we made a couple of changes to perhaps give me more energy. He was friendly and very personable. I felt confident in his care about me as a patient and as a person.

Dr. Thomas sent three prescriptions to the pharmacy. The pharmacy could not fill the prescriptions without additional information. I called the office twice and sent a message to Dr. Thomas. I am still waiting for a response after a week.

Dr Thomas listened to my concerns about a recent injury and offered sound advice. When I was ready for Physical Therapy, he responded immediately with a referral. I am very appreciative, because I have often experienced frustration waiting to see care providers.

He didn't listen to my concerns or frustrations. He didn't bother to read my chart or information. It was my 3rd time seeing him for management of the same condition & each time I've had to tell him what my condition is & what he is prescribing me medication for. This time he actually asked me which blood test he should order. He told me he only needed it to avoid a malpractice suit because my medications can cause kidney damage. He insisted I stop taking them but offered no alternative or assistance whatsoever. He did half an exam where he only listened to my heart & lungs for a minute then pushed on my back, which hurt. So he asked why & when I told him it was because of the injury for which he's prescribing medication for, his only response was "well that's where your kidneys are." He didn't even ask for an update on my condition, ask/check for worsening symptoms, ask follow-up questions since ending my PT, or physically check for any changes. We spoke for less than 10 minutes.

I am a 60 year old man and visit Dr. Thomas once a year for a general checkup. He is straight forward, easy to talk to listens to what I say. After one visit he got me off the drugs my previous doctor had me on. I would recommend him to any male as most of us don't like going to Doctors anyway.

He was probably the rudest, most condescending doctor I have ever seen. He told me to "be quiet" when I started crying from frustration. He refused to fill my anti-anxiety medication because he said he didn't like the drug but gave me no alternatives. I will not be seeing him again.
