Arrogant and dismissive. Didn’t perform surgery as described and had to have another surgeon correct his mistakes.

Most uncompassionet doctor ever!
For a full year after my surgery, I was still in pain. Dr.Willers adimently, kept telling me this was all part of it! Then to find out, he messed my foot up. I’ve got to have another surgery on my foot. To fix his mistake. Everything has to be taken out & has to be put back in. NEVER going to recommend Dr.Willers & Elite Sports Medicine!

Awesome doctor and staff!
Dr Willers and his staff have been great to me over the last few years! They have always been caring and very informative during office calls. Dr Willers performed reconstructive surgery on my pronated ankle. He designed and created the titanium implants and installed them without issue. He also fixed some misaligned toes on the same foot. Although the surgery took quite a while to recover I can walk without that pain anymore. He has followed up and is always courteous and engaging when we see him. I will never see another foot doctor as he is the best!

This is the most arrogant, unsympathetic, dismissive doctor I have ever visited. I went in and was diagnosed with a bad ankle sprain - while there Dr. Holier than Thou asked me "Do you know what a sprain is?" - well yes doc I do - "why don't you explain it" - he then looked at his PA and said "well she knows more than most of my patients. A week later my foot had swollen and became terribly red and the pain was the worst pain I could have ever imagined - I would rather give birth 10 times in one day than deal with this pain. I was crawling up stairs - my dogs fur touching it made me scream. After no x-rays he said "well I believe you have CRPS" my boyfriend started to as him something and this arrogant doctor said - and I quote - "I wasn't finished, I paused in my sentence" By the end of the very brief appointment, I was in tears . He said "well I don't think you are crazy" - WHAT?? Then his standard fist bump came at me and that was that - BEWARE IF YOU GO - I NEVER WILL AGAIN

I was referred to Dr. Willers and I am so happy I was. My foot had been hurting and swelling for years and no one could help. Dr. Willers knew immediately what needed to be done and did it. I am recovering from surgery and surprisingly it has been a lot easier than anticipated with pain, and with any questions I have called and asked probably aggravating his poor nurses to the point of them loosing it! But they are always very responsive and very helpful.

Dr. Willers is excellent. He always takes the time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions. I have had two operations using him as my doctor, both were a great success. I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with the care I received. Thanks to Dr. Willers I am walking without pain. He is an outstanding doctor.

Dr. Willers and his team provided excellent care for me through a surgery on each foot, only six weeks apart. The surgeries both went incredibly smoothly; Dr. Willers took the time to explain my options and, when I decided on surgery, he explained the procedure in detail. He also checked in with me immediately prior to both surgeries to make sure I was clear on what would happen. During each appointment, he was very attentive and patient with my questions and never made me feel that he was rushed to go to his next patient. I highly recommend him and compliment his staff!

Dr. Willers' is not the first orthopedic surgeon I've been but he is hands down the best one I have seen and as long as I'm in Nashville I won't go to anyone else. He is very professional, polite, and detail oriented. He always welcomed my questions or concerns. I have had the best surgery and post-op experience with him than I have over any other surgeon. Can't say enough good things!

I had surgery on my right foot (bunionectomy) in January 2020. We met several time prior to surgery and several times after. I had heard good things about him so I chose him for my doc. He is super nice, explained things beautifully so that I (as a layman) could fully understand the process/surgery. He always showed me my scans so I could really see what was going to happen. Like him a ton!

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Dr. Willers and his entire team. Sydney and Hannah were great and always returned my phone calls. It's a well-oiled machine and a very professional one at that. Thank you, Dr. Willers! You gave me my life back. I'm still in recovery but I'm making headway every day thanks to Dr. Willers. Ten out of five stars!

Dr. Willers is a very detailed surgeon who explains everything to his patients. He listens and will not leave your appointment until the patient is satisfied with the answers. He tells it to you straight. I had a very complex foot surgery and it had a 20 week recovery until I could walk comfortably again. Dr. Willers told me what to expect each week during the 5 months and he was correct. I was thrilled to be walking again after such a long physical therapy routine. Speaking of P.T., the therapists at M-Power in Green Hills, TN are super professional and great to work with. My P.T. was Lexi Kennedy and she kept me on track from day one to week 20. She consulted with Dr. Willers to make sure the three of us were all on the same page. I appreciate the communication that M-Power and Elite doctors have constantly!

I had bunion surgery on both feet (distal chevron osteotomy) 2 weeks apart. Dr. Willers was great! He advised me not to have both at the same time which I appreciate now. The surgery was successful and the post op has been very manageable. He and his staff are excellent and very professional. Dr. Willers and Hannah (his PA) takes time to talk and answer all of my many questions and with a sense of humor sometimes which I enjoy. He is an excellent surgeon and person and I would highly recommend him for any foot or ankle needs. He did my husbands surgery on his achilles tendon 4 years ago which has been successful and why I went to him for my bunion surgery. It was worth the hour drive from Bowling Green, KY! Don't settle for just okay because it's convenient. Go to the best and you will have a better experience!!
