I have been going to Dr. Winston for the last 2 to 3 years . I am a self - pay patient and I have to say it is worth every single penny . The office staff is amazing . They are eager to help when you need anything at all . They are simply fantastic . Dr. Winston listens to you and your input on your mental health . He takes his time with you, which may cause him to run a little late on appointments, but I don’t mind because I know he is doing the same for another patient . I never feel rushed . It’s very easy to talk to him . It’s not just about getting your medicine . He truly gives you advice. I’m very blessed to have found Dr. Winston and his staff .

I have had three visits with him and the first two weren’t very good and I thought he was just having an off day. But the third visit was what did it for me. He was very rushed, unprofessional, and not nice to me. At times he said the conversation was awkward and acted angry towards me because I wasn’t scheduling enough visits. If you’re struggling with depression or anxiety, I would strong NOT recommended. He only makes it worse.

It has been Wednesday January 19 since my appointment. I was told by Deana I would get a call back shortly after because she had to discuss with the doctor. No call. I then received an email that afternoon from Deana saying she would be calling me shortly. No call. I then called Thursday Jan 20 and left a voicemail. No return call. I have now emailed them today Jan 22 saying I would seek help else where. Not to mention my appointment was scheduled with Dr. Winston and was instead with Deana who said Dr. Winston needed a day off every once in a while.

Dr. Winston has been my Psychiatrist for 11 years now and is GREAT. On my 1st visit with him, he landed on a combination of medications that helped me with my "Severe Clinical Depression"...the next 2 visits were to dial in the doses....he got it perfect and I'm in a MUCH better place now because of him (I'm on the same meds / doses now). He talks in length to me, and does so as I'm a person....he has never looked down to me....that's huge deal!!! By far, Dr. Winston is best Psychiatrist I've had the pleasure of seeing and knowing, either in Georgia or Florida (and I've seen many who couldn't / wouldn't help me)!!! His office staff ROCKS too...very, very personable, friendly and professional!!!!! If you're having any "mental" issues that you need help with, go see him.

Was trying to get treatment for ADD and Anxiety. I would wait 1-2 hours waiting for my appointment while he wandered around outside. Every visit he would ask me the same questions about what my major is and how old I was, he does not care about his patients. When I asked about tips for my anxiety Dr. Winston told me "to just breathe" needless to say I am no longer seeing him. Terrible doctor, nice receptionist, the Mercer trainees are the most help I've gotten from Georgia Bio Behavioral.

I came to him a few years ago and I'll never forget how unprofessional and mean he was to me. I was seeking help after a life changing event and was struggling and the next appointment he asked me "Now what was your problem again?" He couldn't even remember because he doesn't take notes or care! He then told me that this horrible thing that happened to me was my fault even though I had no control over it because I was a teenager when it happened. He's one of the worst doctors I have ever met!

Terrible person and doctor. Told my father that if I left my insurance carrier and came to him he would treat me. After spending time with some PA he came in the office and told me he couldn’t treat me. Now I have to find a new doctor and someone to provide me with my regular meds since I left my Kaiser doctor. This guy really messed me up!

My experience with Dr. Winston was great and if I had to wait to be seen, it would have been alright, because he's a dedicated Dr. I know that he is going to take the same time with me. That is what a truly good Dr. does.

I've been a patient of Dr. Winston for a number of years now and love him. I've seen numerous Psychiatrists in the past and ALL of them took nothing I said into consideration while treating me and bouncing my around with medications I need to attempt to control my depression. Dr. Winston, on my 1st visit, found a combination / dose that was helping me, and just fine tuned everything to get me to a point where I am now. By far, the best Psychiatrist out there!!! His office staff ROCKS also!!!!!

Wish I could give 0 stars! First, he has multiple offices, but only sees new patients at 1 office, which whatever. But having to drive from Kennesaw to Dunwoody is a hike. I was a first time patient, and I waited TWO hours before I finally told them I had to leave. Judging by the amount of people in the waiting room, it seems as if he over books his schedule. The office was so disgusting too, very very dirty.

I have been a patient of Dr. Winston's for quite a few years now. If I could use him as a primary care doctor I would. That's how much I like Dr. Winston. He not only takes the time you need to talk to him but he truly listens and really does care about his patients and their overall health and well being. If you want a psych.who doesn't throw a bunch of medicine at you and send you on your way but that actually listens and DOES NOT overmedicate, which I love. Go see him! Sadie Staack

I've been seeing Dr. Winston for about a year now and have finally gotten fed up enough to leave. My first appointment that I scheduled at the Marietta office was actually in Dunwoody, and I have had scheduling issues ever since. One time they forgot to put me in the system (even though I have a business card THEY filled out with the date and time of my next appointment), and another time I had to wait over an hour. NOW I have learned he is closing the Marietta location w/o notifying patients.

I just waited 45 minutes past my appointment time to see his intake associate. Waited another 10 after that. Finally left. Last appointment, the office was locked for 15 minutes AFTER my appointment time. I've been told by three different people that they've had to wait over 2 hours past their appointment time to get to see him. Major FAIL. I will NOT be going back. I am suffering major anxiety and depression. It's all I can do to go to work every day. I did not need this too.
