Dr. Jenna Marcus, MD

An Oncologist is the scariest type of doctor I have had to see, but Dr. Marcus immediately made me feel safe and assured that I was in the best hands. At my appointments, she comes in knowing my case, knowing my concerns and she spends time explaining everything, addressing my concerns, and looking/talking to me (not a computer screen). She is calm and confident, warm and reassuring. And she knows the importance of using the right words, i.e., IF it comes back, not WHEN it comes back. That positivity makes all the difference in the scary world of cancer.

She's a great Doctor. You can ask her anything and she takes the time to explain everything to you.

Dr. Marcus is the most thorough doctor I have ever dealt with. Her entire team is great, each one is always a familiar face to help. I wish she was my primary doctor, not just my OBGYN.

I’ve been treating with Dr. Marcus coming up on two years. She performed my hysterectomy after learning I had a small cancerous lesion on my cervix. Prior to surgery I never left her office feeling like I did not understand what she had explained to me. I was given more than one option for the way she could perform my surgery and she gave her opinions on each. Her and her team have taken GREAT care of me from the start! She’s very easy to talk to and she doesn’t mind engaging in conversations outside of my treatment. She always checks on my mental health as well. I’m so grateful to have been referred to her by another treating physician. I believe my surgery & recovery were both non-problematic because of how wonderful of a physician she is!

Doctor Marcus is the best of the best in every aspect. Knowledge, bedside manner, ability. You will likely not find a more caring, compassionate doctor who is also on point in her surgical expertise. I could not recommend Doctor Marcus enough. Thank you for everything you have done for me!

I've been at this "cancer thing" for a while now and have been under the care of four different physicians at four different academic medical centers at different points in time (plus a consult at MD Anderson). I've not had a physician yet take more time, answer more questions or relate to me more as a whole person more than Dr. Marcus. But more than the soft touches, I want an oncologist who is at the top of his/her game, steeped in the latest advances and well-versed on the latest literature. I have every confidence this is Dr. Marcus. In fact, at my latest appointment this week, we talked about a new study just published that could have some impact on progression-free survival. THAT's what I want in my doctor--and when combined with a compassionate woman who understands as best she can the life-changing impact of cancer--I feel like I've struck the jackpot in finding Dr. Marcus.

I've been with Dr. Zechmeister for 3 years and have had excellent service and care. She is always conscientious , thorough, and gentle. Hysterectomy and vaginectomy done under her care. She was extremely knowledgeable with the procedure she was performing. She went above and beyond with the rest of her team to ensure top care and comfortability. Absolutely wouldn’t have chosen a better doctor to go through this procedure with. I recovered in the hospital for 2 days went home and was perfectly fine with pain medicine only taken at night for comfortability during the morning hours after tossing and turning. Everything went just as planned with even better results than I was expecting. Thank you again to your whole entire team for taking such good care of me.
