If you were to ask me how I felt about Dr. Capezio about 2 yrs ago, especially 8-10 yrs ago, I would have jumped out of my chair & raved about her in every way. However, I stopped having a second person accompany me to my appointments about 2 years ago & ever since then, it feels like I have been put on the back burner. I am younger than her average patient, but feel like she now doesn’t even give me the time of day. I am constantly repeating myself or she will ask a question that I literally just spent 2 minutes talking about or when I start getting defeated, I’ll stop mid sentence to see if she notices & she doesn’t bat an eye. In the beginning, she was so incredibly wonderful. & she is still very gentle. But I don’t feel like she HEARS me anymore or even cares to try & help me. The second my case got ultra complicated, she just stopped trying. I had several Drs waiting on my last appt. to come up with a Tx plan for a complex & rare disorder. She did nothing. I got to my car & cried.

Was referred through friend & doctor, yet three times of rescheduling was enough! Never asked of my condition, and office didn’t care to listen. Doctor’s oath is to care for people. Was trying since beginning of year it is now the end and they moved again to October. Office tried to tell me they don’t take new patients when I told admin it wasn’t right what they are doing, 3 reschedules. Take off the website, “taking new patients.” Not ethical to play with a person’s health. No respect!

This review is terribly overdue but I have been seeing Dr. Capezio and her team for almost 20 years. My quality of life is continuously restored with their management of my health challenges. They take a lot of time with you, are thorough and actually think about your medical problem, how best to diagnose and treat it. They do not push pills and push you out the door. Painful conditions are not easy for doctor or patient and Dr Capezio and her team rise to the challenge again and again.

Dr. Capezio is one of a kind. I always feel comfortable in her office. She spends more than enough time with me and addresses all of my concerns. I have never had a rheumatologist as amazing as her.

The office staff is by far the rudest I have ever dealt with. Even though I had bloodwork and a referral to this office they would not schedule an appt because their protocol goes through multiple people and they give a timeline of anywhere between a week to multiple weeks before they call you to then schedule an appt which would be booked out a month later. Unbelievable especially since my insurance allows me to go to any doctor. I would never go to this office.

While friendly, she isn't interested in complex cases and is unable to think beyond the borders of numbers on paper. If you have a simple, run of the mill diagnosis, she might be ok, but if you have any complications or anything outside the "norm" she won't be helpful.

I drive a pretty long distance to see Dr. Capezio; she is well worth the drive. After a number of neutral or negative experiences with rheumatologists, I am so relieved to have connected with her. She is kind, gentle, and caring. She is so respectful of my expertise as a patient, listening attentively to my story and encouraging me to make my own decisions. My appointments with her never feel rushed.

Dr. Capezio is an island of calm in the cycle of chronic autoimmune pain, sleeplessness, and the multitude of twists an turns of the disease process. Appointment time length seems to be the least of her concerns when she is in the exam room. She returns calls, emails and thoroughly answers questions, seeming to have an innate ability to read the level of understanding I as a patient have attained in discussion. SIMPLY THE BEST!!!!!

Went looking for help. At the time I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, but have since been diagnosed with multiple autoimmune diseases. I was told to go for acupuncture to help with my fibromyalgia because none of the medications did anything to help. She does not think outside the box. I would still be slowly breaking down be told I had fibromyalgia. I would not recommend wasting your time. The office staff is a nightmare to deal with as well. They talk to you as though you're garbage.
