Dr. Jennifer Choi, MD

Dr Choi didn't even look at me once. She spent 10 minutes asking me questions, eyes glued to her computer screen. Never looked me in the eye, zero bedside manner, seems hurried and totally uncaring, treated me like a piece of meat, then ordered 2 tests (endoscopy and colonoscopy), that was it. She lied on the past visit report and said she spent 40 minutes with me and explained everything to me. Nothing of the sort! To add insult to injury, I was billed $ 454 by the insurance! For 10 minutes! That's $45.4 per minute! More than I've ever paid for any doctor, and she couldn't even bother to be polite. Anybody can order tests, she was completely useless as a specialist. Never again. Avoid at all cost. Shame on her, and shame on KP for participating in this sham.

Had endoscopy, found to have gastric bleeding ulcer. Dr. J. Choi explained the procedure well, benefits and risks. Had excellent sedation without any complications.

She is short and dismissive. After the procedure, I have not heard back from her at all. Two email, three VMs left with her staff, she still did not call back. I filed a complain with the hospital regarding zero follow up. She then called back, explained the diagnoses quickly, was very annoyed and rude. She sent prescription to the pharmacy, the dosage had an error. I called her office again to ger the right dosage. Left a message and guess what - SHE NEVER CALLED BACK. Stay away from Dr. Choi!

DR Choi seemed annoyed by my detail of symptoms. I’ve seen her twice. No more than 10 mins given each time. Easy to talk to but maybe no time for listening.

Dr Choi is bright and well-intentioned, but she is not a good listener, and I felt my concerns were only taken seriously when they matched hers. For example, I asked if I could avoid a certain type of sedation for my colonoscopy and she refused to give an alternative - either we did it her way, or I had to find another doctor. In general, she seems hurried and irritable, lacking a compassionate demeanor.
