Dr. Jennifer Karnowski, MD

Jennifer was amazing! I needed a procedure and was dreading it. She made me feel calm, comfortable and supported. She checked in with me throughout the procedure and completed it with less discomfort than I experienced with other doctors. She never made me feel rushed and took her time explaining things to me. I can’t even understand the negative reviews- my experience with her exceeded my expectations and I’d highly recommend her to others.

I've seen a lot of doctors in many different specialities in my life due to having a congenital disability and I have to say Dr Karnowski is easily one of the best I've ever seen. She is extremely knowledgeable and does a great job explaining all the different options available for questions you have and then is honest about what she thinks the best option is, but also fully supports you as a patient in determining which option you prefer to choose. She is extremely down to earth and cares about your well being. I was very impressed in my meeting with her and am glad she's a part of my care team.

I had a lot of misplaced hope before this appointment. After being dismissed by so many doctors for having incredibly painful periods and later a blindingly painful hemorrhagic cyst, I thought I was finally on the right track going to an OBGYN, that someone would listen to me. I was wrong. She was dismissive of all my concerns, didn't listen to me at all, and didn't seem to care. Even though I had more questions, she cut me off and said we were out of time. I have a follow up appointment in her office that is thankfully only with an ultrasound tech. I did get a prescription that's supposed to control the cysts but I never want to see this doctor again and will look for a different OBGYN to follow up with if this medication doesn't work for me.

I am 54 and was given a referral to the menopause clinic by my physician for low libido. All I asked for was labs. But I had to be referred, except the menopause clinic is booked out to May. Only thing is that I’m not going through menopause. That passed 10 years ago. So the scheduler thought she was helping me by placing me with Gynecology doc, Dr Karnowski. Guess not. She had a nurse call me at the end of the day before my appointment to cancel my appointment because she doesn’t see patients for that problem??? Interesting! A OB/GYN that does not address low libido. Heads up to everyone! So, I guess I’ll just sit tight another 6 months UW! It’s not just about that, I feel like crap, but good to know this organization can’t help. I work here and feel like I made a huge mistake leaving SSM Health.

She was terrible. Bit my head off for asking questions about safe delivery. She kept saying "I'm the doctor"! as a way to stop my questions. She got super defensive, wouldn't look me in the eye when she talked, and made it clear she dod not care about any of my health concerns. I left very mad and upset. I shared my experience with friends and few coworkers. Turns out om not the only one who she treated like this. Her overall reputation is terrible. Im so thankful she didnt deliver my baby. Turns out I did have a serious medical condition that did put my baby, and myself in extreme jeopardy during delivery.

This doctor doesn’t care about patients she transferred me to out side doctor( her friend) so they can get more money for surgery she scared me with my simple diagnosis I asked her to try med she refused because she instead that doctor to do surgery.. she is the worst doctor ever

Dr. Karnowski was not a good match for me and my family. She rushed the appointment, breezed over important questions, and did not make me feel heard. Her response to some of my questions were disrespectful and made me feel very small. Even though she is not my PCP, she told me I needed to change a medication I have been on for years, which made me feel very uncomfortable. She cut the consult short, stating we had run out of time, even though I still had more questions. If you are looking for someone with a warm bedside manner and someone who listens respectfully, she is not for you.

Dr. Karnowski was excellent and personable. She went out of her way to provide the best care for me, and the procedure that she did in the office actually made me no longer need surgery. I would recommend her to all.
