Condescending
I went to see Dr. Kim for my first allergy appointment. I knew I always had some form of allergies and decided it is time to test which allergies I had. In the beginning of the appt, I explained to her that I just recently adopted a cat. He was a 7.5 year old rescue and my first cat. The allergy test results showed that I was allergic to cats. And after reviewing my test results, she said in the most judgmental voice ever “I guess you gotta get rid of your cat.” I went to her for 3 more appointments because I was hoping that instance was a one-off. It wasn’t. Every time I met with her, she was condescending and judgmental. Just don’t go to this doctor unless you want to be treated like trash.

Dr. Kim is condescending, dismissive and she made me feel so uncomfortable I wanted to walk out of the appointment. Her ability as a doctor is also questionable. She was upset the blood draw was not done prior to the appointment. That's fair. Then we got the blood draw, which was traumatic and difficult for our daughter. We return for another appointment with blood work results and she laughed at us and said why would we get bloodwork done and told us there was no way to evaluate if a 3.5 year is truly allergic to anything with bloodwork and it was probably viral. Worst communicator - contradicted herself, then blamed the patient. She ordered the bloodwork and then mocked us for actually getting it done. A complete waste of time and effort.

Terrible for little ones
If you have children under 5, please go see a different doctor. I would not recommend her to anyone. Very arrogant, unhelpful, and rude! Terrible bedside manner. The nurses were better than Dr. Kim.

Go find other doctor.
She is kind of mean to the patient who is not fluent English. I’ve never met like her in any hospitals in Chicago .. so disappointed.

One of the other reviewers took the words right out of my mouth. My experience was extremely negative. She was unhelpful, arrogant and extremely unprepared. Do not recommend her at all. Total waste of time. And money.

Our son sees Dr Kim regularly for treatment of his severe peanut allergy and have found Dr Kim to be very approachable, knowledgeable, and a good listener. My four year old feels very comfortable with her.

Dr. Kim was epicly arrogant and unhelpful. I was instructed by the office to not take antihistamines for 5 days before an appointment (despite having high environmental allergies). After a 5 minute discussion, she would not do an SPT food test so there were 5 days of unnecessary suffering and no concern on the part of Dr. Kim. Her lack of concern, empathy, information, and general approach were the worst combination I have ever encountered with a medical professional.

She acts like she thinks a highly-rated degree from a top medical school gives her permission to treat patients like garbage and be arrogant.. My wife came with 3 little children 10 minutes late to a far away location, Dr. Kim refused to see them, making them reschedule for weeks later. When seeing patient our 3 yr old, did not treat the history rather treated based only on test results, acted like a robot, regurgitated her textbook. Yes, knowledgeable, but doesn't treat patient like a human.
