Insensitive, impatient, rude!
Ladies, if you want to be insulted, talked to like you’re stupid, and want a a provider that could care less about your concerns, then this is the doctor for you! This woman is snotty, cold, impatient, and acts like it’s painful for her to take care of you. My beloved OBGYN retired after I had been going to him for over 30 years. He was kind, gentle and caring. I got stuck with this woman and she was awful! Came in and said, “ So, what do you need from me?” I told her I was there for my yearly female exam. She told me that because I had a Pap smear this time last year, that I didn't need another one. Basically said that my other doctor was stupid for doing it yearly. She told me she’d do a pelvic exam if it made me feel better. Did not examine my breasts, discuss mammogram, talk about menopause issues or anything. She acted like she couldn’t get out of the room fast enough. I will not go back!!! Ladies, value your value and avoid this woman! Bedside manner and compassion of a rock!!

Impatient and insensitive
Dr. Reason was the doctor on call when I delivered my daughter. After laboring for 24 hours I started to cry when she said she’d be back in 8 hours to check me. She said “What? Did nobody tell you first time labor takes forever?” She acted annoyed to have to treat me. All of my nurses and doctors at Mary Washington were incredible, so I was surprised and disappointed to end up with a provider that had no consideration for me as her patient. Thankful for the wonderful nurses who advocated for me during my labor and delivery. On more than one occasion the nurses apologized for the way the doctor was speaking to me. After reading other reviews, this incident does not appear to be isolated.

This still bothers me. My doctor told me to go to Mary Washington Hospital labor room for thinking my water broke last week because I was early. My baby was also not moving much. She told me they would check things , listen to my baby's heart beat and do a ultrasound. I don't know what it is with this doctor. But she seemed annoyed. She said my baby's heart beat was fine. And put this pap smear thing up my hole and said it did not look like I broke my water. She was rough and it hurt. I asked her about a ultrasound and she said I didn't need it. Even though my doctor said it would be done. I left feeling stupid and like I didn't get good care. I don't know. Maybe she was having a bad day. But other people wrote same things about her. The nurses there are very nice. I think they just do what she tells them to do. I hope I don't have to go back to see her there again.

I had a very similar visit. I really want to deliver at Mary Wash. But, my doctor does not deliver there anymore. I love the hospital. But, when I went to be seen as an emergency because I was having a problem. This doctor seemed very annoyed and was very snippy and rough examining me. The nurses rolled their eyes at me! Later, they assured me she doesn't work that much and there was a good chance I would have one of the other doctors they said were all better and very nice. I am very confused about what to do now.

The hospital at Mary Washington is very nice. And the nurses are nice and helpful. Dr. Reason thought is very as a matter of fact and made me feel very stupid for coming in for my symptoms. Her exam was also very rough. I would have thought as a woman she would be gentler. But no! I never want to see her again. The nurses say she doesn't work much. And I can check before I come in. But I am thinking about going somewhere else now where she does not go. Does anyone have a similar bad experience and sense about her?

This doctor is now in Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg Viginia. I wanted to deliver there until I saw her on the labor unit. My doctor does not deliver at this hospital anymore. So I had to see her. I was having contractions at 36 weeks. She has to be the rudest and most condescending ob gyno I have ever met. She made me feel stupid. And she was very rough checking me! I had bleeding afterwards when I went home! The nurses were very kind and apologized for her behavior. They said she was new and not working a lot so there was a good chance I would get another nicer doctor if I came back. I don’t know why she works at this. She seems to be a very bitter and angry woman who would rather be somewhere else. She wouldn’t listen to me. She wouldn’t take concerns seriously. She needs people training. I don’t think I will go back there again.

Mommy Treated Badly – Jun 10, 2020

The staff that works for Dr. Reason are very professional and was very kind. I am came with an consumer (an individual with development disabilities). She was completely unprofessional and down right rude. She did not acknowledge her patient at all and already came in with the assumption that my consumer can not answer any questions about her medical history. She also assumed that I can not as well and that I will need to come back for another visit because she does not have time for this.
