Dr. Jennifer Southard, MD

Oh my goodness, what a wonderful doctor! It took a while to get in to see her for my first appointment because she was so booked and after meeting with her I can see why. Aside from being incredibly friendly, she was actually interested in me and what I had to say. She asked me about myself as well my medical history and the medications I was taking. She listened, asked questions and looked at me as I was speaking. She explained things about my medications and conditions that I had never been told before and didn't hesitate to adjust things that needed to be changed. Even though my first appointment wasn't a wellness visit I felt as if she had all the time in the world to spend with me if necessary and it wasn't until I got ready to leave that I realized she had spent an hour with me. I feel so lucky to have found her. Additionally her assistant was very nice and spent a good deal of time with me and explained things as well. The reception staff couldn't have been nicer or more courteous and gave me some additional information I asked for. If you are in any way dissatisfied with your current situation, I would highly recommend Dr. Southard.

Excellent primary provider! She is very thorough, makes detailed list of necessary treatments, appts. & follow ups for all care required & referrals/prescriptions are quickly sent. Best of all, she really listens & allows me to participate in my care. I've been a patient for about 9 years & I've never thought about transferring to any other provider. Upon necessity, I've seen a few other docs in the medical group. If Southard, MD is not available to new patients, Schwindaman, MD is my second favorite. :)

Dr. Southard is the best doctor I've ever had in my 78 years. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, kind and caring. She listens to me attentively and her diagnosis and advice is always on point. I feel like I'm her most important patient and that her care is like she would care for her own family.

Besides being a good physician, Dr. Southard understands the necessity of communicatingin a manner that allows you to convey problems and her explaining hoe she will care for you. She is the best doctor I have ever met with.. I could not recommend a doctor more highly than her.

She is always present when she is with you. She explains things well and thoroughly . She doesn’t talk down to you. She listens and seems to really care about your concerns. She makes me feel heard and that I can trust her with my health concerns.

I Actually enjoy my visits with Dr. Southard. She has a wonderful personality but more importantly she really listens and we come to decisions together. And I will never change doctors.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Southard’s for many years. She really cares about her patients and allows us to make decisions together. She’s respectful and very detail oriented. Great bedside manner and her nurse assistant is very nice and when I told her I hated shots she gave me ways of going about it that was less painful. I absolutely didn’t feel the shot at all. This really showed how much they care that they would take the time to make me feel comfortable. 10 out of 10. Kinda don’t wanna let everyone know so I can still get appointments. Haha

Dr. Southard is the best. I always feel listened to and we work together on the challenges I have with my health. I am in the best of hands.

Dr Southard subbed for my doctor & changed my life saving medication over a holiday weekend, not giving enough to survive off of. This doctor should not be practicing, very irresponsible and dangerous for the patient.

I recently experienced an emergency in which I ended up in the ER with pain so bad that it caused my blood pressure to shoot all the way up to 250 over 127. The ER docs ran a few tests but really found no answers so rather than continuing to look, the super-doc opted for sending me on my way. I told them that the pain when in cycles and that it would return before the night ended but the ER doc knew better and sent me packing. The pain did return and it was far worse. I sent Dr. Southard a message in the middle of the night and first thing the next morning (Sunday) I received a call from the pharmacy letting me know my prescription was ready. Dr. S had checked the secure messages that night and had a prescription ready for me. Without a doubt, she saved my life that night. She is truly a rare provider. Dependable, Incredible, and caring. She is awesome.

My first communication with Dr Southard was thru the patient portal. In a very short time I received a call and had an appointment scheduled. I really appreciate that Dr Southard takes time for you with her interest being to solve your problem. At the office visit she requested blood work, received the results and called me that afternoon. I always leave her office feeling confident with her care.
