Bias and arrogant
My husband saw Dr. Eckhaus for the longest time, and we noticed behavior changes over several years with my husband, after requesting some tests, it was discovered my husband had a hormone imbalance. My husband is also a little huskier than most, so instead of looking into what was going on, Eckhaus blamed my husbands weight for the imbalance. After switching doctors and finally someone taking interest in my husbands care, we’ve discovered he has been living with a liver issue as well as a brain tumor for the last several years, and it’s not “just because of excess weight”

I'm stunned to read some negative reviews of Dr. Eckhaus. I've been seeing him for a number of years and have the highest confidence in him. I've always felt that I have his full attention and respect when I discuss my health with him, and appreciate his patience, courtesy and willingness to spend as much time with me as necessary. I also trust his medical judgment without question, and especially appreciate his holistic approach that doesn't immediately default to medication and other invasive interventions. I'm very happy having him as my primary care provider.

I am deeply grateful that Dr. Eckhaus is the person I turn to for medical care. Reading some of the other comments on this website, I realize that as much as we are all part of each other, we are all unique, with our own requirements for trust. I hope you all find a primary care doctor you trust, as I trust and value Dr. Eckhaus.

I found that while he my have been wearing Birkenstock, he was quite rude when I told him that I leaned towards natural remedies for some of our health concerns. He scared my daughter and also went on to prescribe a medicine that was not FDA approved for children her age. I don't say any of this lightly, I am also an RN.

Dr. Eckhouse is one of the most disrespectful, incompassionate doctors I have ever seen. He presents with a terrible combination of ignorance and arrogance. I agree with many reviews that he does not listen and is not equipped to treat either serious or complicated illnesses. His responses to my disease were reductionary and recommendations were actually dangerous. He also did not respect my privacy rights around my health info.and told me my severe disability was psychological. I was shocked

Dr. Eckhaus lets his personal progressive new age anti interventionist philosophy get in the way off good patient care. I saw him for a couple of years only because his office was convenient. When I started experiencing chronic pain I found another provider. I never thought he was all that concerned for my well being and this was borne out by his very callous attitude with regard to my injury.

Genuinely concerned about my health, well being, and helping me deal with my concerns. Listens well, and accurately diagnosed what other doctor had overlooked.
