I cannot say enough about Dr. Becker. He met with me a few times to discuss options regarding my long-term knee issue and as it had become severe, I decidedt it was time for a replacement. I had full right knee replacement in September 2022 and after almost 7 months now, all is well. I am glad I got this done and for Dr. Becker’s continued guidance. He is an amazing Orthopedic Surgeon.

Terible. Dr Becker did a hip replacement. He took at least three xrays in the two months prior to my surgery, and still managed to create an 8mm difference in the length of my leg. He was extremely rude. He refused to acknowledge he made a mistake and even tilted the X-ray so that my hip placement appeared to be the same. He refused to deal with the terrible pain I had, and I was sleepless for 2 weeks. He would walk out of the office while I was talking to him, trying to get answers. I am writing this now because it took a year to see a different orthopedist who could immediately see on the x-ray that there was an 8 mm additional length. I was having debilitating spasms in my quad. It took another 2 years to see an orthopedist who immediately recognized my symptoms caused by Dr Becker’s mistake. The psoas muscle was being stretched. No physical therapy or any amount of exercise has provided much relief. I now have more problems than I did pre-replacement.

I saw Dr. Becker at the Albq. VA (where he is also on staff). He was very engaging asking questions and answering all of mine, and did not rush me in any of my appointments. He did a knee revision on my right knee at the VA [the original replacement from 9 yrs earlier (different doctor different state) had come loose and was very painful]. He spoke to me before I went from pre surgery into the OR and introduced all the other doctors (anesthesiologist) and assistants who would be helping. The operation was long as I knew it would be (better to be long and get it right than to rush it and get it wrong) and when I woke in post OP I had a lot of pain but it was much much less than the original surgery 9 yrs earlier. I also made tremendous strides in therapy reaching in 30 days where therapists expect you to be at in 120 days. I will be going back to him to get my left knee replaced in the spring.
