I went to Bertrand because he was referred to me through the ER. The contrast from his warm and welcoming staff to him coldly asking me why I was upset and staring at me blankly as I told him how hard and stressful this has been was jarring. He scheduled me for a surgery but was utterly dismissive about my concerns going under due to heart failure and it was a procedure I had done while wide awake so many times and typically doesn't require anesthesia. He also discussed giving me a hysterectomy because my uterus wasn't "behaving how it was supposed to". I was devastated and reacted by bargaining and insisting. I wasn't ready. The day of my surgery came and I didn't show up. And I'm glad I didn't. It turns out he was wrong. I went to a different doctor who prescribed me birth control and my issue was gone in a week. So much stress and worry and anxiety to find out he wasn't even right and could have severely harmed me. Carelessness is not a desirable attribute for a doctor.
