Decent surgeon but ...
I've had three surgeries in this office in the last three months. The surgeries went fairly well except that Dr Kampp doesn't believe or doesn't care to treat pain or anxiety. He's really good at causing the wounds, but he is not good at all on addressing that later. Once you get out of his surgery, you are on your own. He sent me home with 32 stitches in my forehead and didn't give me any pain medication. It's not unreasonable to ask for painkillers when you've got 32 stitches in your forehead. But no, he "doesn't write those kinds of prescriptions" so if you have any anxiety or if you don't handle really strong pain like a trooper? Don't go there. He also drastically understated the size of my scar by saying it was a couple of centimeters when it was in fact over 3 inches and I do not appreciate that.

I had mohs surgery on my upper right cheek, close to my nose. I asked for a mirror before the wound was closed. I was quite surprised by the amount that was removed. I thought I would have a horrible scar. Honestly, no one even knows that I had surgery, I can see it when I look closely., my close friends and family that saw the surgery afterwards are astounded at the final results.

Dr. Kampp is a skilled surgeon, but not attentive to management of post-op pain, bleeding, wound care, and infection. Not a good fit for me; perhaps others will find him more compatible. Nursing and admin staff were very good.
