Dr. Blaivas did a battery of tests on me and spent a lot of time explaining what was going on and how to solve the problem. I would highly recommend him

After going to see 6 Uroligist’s from Florida to New York, Dr Blavias was the ONLY doctor that had any compassion for my 37 year old son that did damage to his bladder from Ketamine. Dr Blavias took the time to figure out what was the best for my son’s shrunk bladder and severe pain in his lower abdomen. He decided to reconstruct my sons bladder and make it bigger with the hopes of making sure he would be able to urinate on his own with no catheter. This doctor went over and above to help our family and I am happy to say the surgery was a success. Dr Blavias is a warm, kind, and devoted doctor and I thank you for saving my sons life.

Dr. Blaivas is as close to a medical miracle worker as I have ever seen. I had a severe bladder problem (massive diverticuli) that two top NYC urologists told me was unfixable even with surgery and that I would have to catheterize myself 4 times a day for life. Dr. Blaivas disagreed and told me that with surgery he would be able to restore me to normal function — and he did. Now it is as if the problem never happened. Also, he spends as much time with each patient as he and the patient need. There is never a rush. And he cares. He called and texted me regularly after my operation to see how I was doing. And when I needed him he would respond promptly. Dr. Blaivas does not accept insurance. But you get what you pay for and he gave me my life back when all of the other urologists had given up on me.

He is a gifted physician and surgeon. After giving birth, I became 100% incontinent. It was the most difficult time in my life having no bladder control while taking care of my beautiful newborn. I had seen 6 physicians before seeing Dr Blaivas. He was the ONLY physician able to provide me with a non mesh option to correct my condition. The surgery was a success. The recovery was not bad at all. He gave me my life back. If you are have any bladder issue, this is the doc to see

I was diagnosed with a vaginal prolapse five years ago. I was referred to a urogynecologist who recommended a Total Vaginal Hysterectomy, Robotic Sacral Colpopexy, and a Monarc Transobturatur Sling. I was also told I would not be able to return to work for 2-4 weeks. I saw Dr. Blaivas for a second opinion and he recommended a pessary. I was fitted and returned to work that afternoon. I remove the pessary every evening and insert it every morning, and my problem has been solved!
