Dr. Jesse Selber, MD

Dr. Selber was very short and not thorough in any visit I had with him. I requested a preop visit and he basically minimized this. He did not, in any way, go over options, ask anything whatsoever or explain anything at all to me. I ended up with breasts that sag very badly because he said “you’re a wide woman, so your body sucked up the implants.” It was both offensive and my breasts look awful. I now have to have the redone. Beaumont hospital staff was terrible as well. I told Dr.Selber’s nurse how bad the treatment was and to inform him. Nothing was said to me. I thought I was in good hands, but should have went with the first red flag; waiting 3 hours for my consultation. I had breast cancer, and you would think a doctor would treat you better and do great work. I have scars from my breasts all the way close to my back. I’m not quite sure why lipo would do that, but maybe I’m not knowledgeable bc he didn't inform me of that either.

I had to have a masteoplexy due to breast cancer and I was very pleased with the results. I was told that I would lose a lot of tissue and was fearing the worst. Dr. Selber and his staff were very informative. They were even helpful in setting up virtual visits becauuse I lived so far away from the office. After surgery, I was amazed what a great job he did especially since it involved a lift and breast and nipple size reduction on both breasts. They answered all my questions and explained the process very well both before and after. I was very encouraged by their positive attitude. I am extremely pleased with the results.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Selber. He is so well-qualified and has done such amazing surgeries (google him!) that I thought he'd have terrible bedside manner that I'd just have to endure in order to have him as my reconstruction surgeon. Nothing could be further from the truth. He is calm, kind, and so knowledgeable. I was terrified the night before my surgery, but knowing I was in the best hands helped. I trust him implicitly and recommend him wholeheartedly.

Dr.Selber did my reconstruction surgery. I was and still am extremely pleased. Great bedside manner. His nurse Angela is outstanding along with him and his staff. I recommend him to everyone that I know because he is the best. If I ever have to a a surgery at MD ANderson he will be my surgeon. When I went home and was unsure of things his staff and him always was there to answer my questions.

Provides perfection and precision with health care and respect for patients. I was fortunate to get him on 3 surgeries and each one had exceptional outcomes. He is the highest quality breast plastic surgeon you will ever find.
