Dr. Jessica Castonguay, DO

I’ve been seeing this doctor for years, she should not be licensed to treat eating disorders. I was repeatedly told I was playing games, to just eat, it’s my choice, I know what to do, etc. She made me believe I didn’t need therapy or a dietician and that I should be doing this on my own because I was “smarter than this.” If you start to struggle, she will either threaten to hospitalize you if you’re underweight or she will make you feel guilty for taking up her time and threaten to drop you as a patient. I wouldn’t recommend her if you want real help for your eating disorder, her tactic is just threats. Appointments literally consist of getting weighed, getting interviewed about your eating, and then lectured if you don’t eat the meal plan of 3 meals 3 snacks they give every patient. Honestly, all she cares about is weight gain. I learned nothing from years of attending recurrent appointments.
