I went to Dr Chapman today to try to get help for my chronic pain. I have never felt so dismissed by a medical provider. From the moment she walked in the room it was evident she just wanted the appointment to end. I was told several times that there was nothing she could do for me. She asked me if my doctor had ever suggested putting me on weight loss medication. There was not one ounce of compassion as I sat there crying trying to describe how highly this has impacted my quality of life. She could have cared less. I will take my bloodwork results and go elsewhere. Do better Dr Chapman. Patients come to you for help, not to leave your office crying from frustration.

The WORST
Went to this rude doctor 2 years ago. When she came into the examination room, she read medical info sent to the office earlier. She didn't turn around to ask me questions. She didn't examine my dipilating feet or hands. She didn't run blood work. My orthopedic was hoping she would do blood work because it would be more in-depth then his. Instead, she rudely told me, as cold as ice, I was at the wrong place and there's NOTHING a rheumatologist can do for osteoarthritis. Here I was, so hopeful that maybe someone can help me with my pain, and I hear that! I was shocked and heartbroken. I left feeling so hopeless and worried. Even my primary care doctor was in totally disbelief that a rheumatologist can't help osteoarthritis. In the past 2 years, things have progressed. Since I don't know where to turn, I haven't seen anyone for the arthritis & the other symptoms that come with it. Sadly, too many specialty doctors have BIG egos and nasty attitudes. This doctor is one of them.

Rude doctor, in a HUGE RUSH
Please post this asap so that other people do not leave Dr. Chapman’s office feeling embarrassed by her harsh words. She treated me in a rude way and was in a big RUSH from the minute I met her.I felt that I was seeing a physician who didn’t care about me as an individual. Dr Chapman stated that I would receive a call back with test results but she has communicated ZERO test results. I am surprised by this negative experience because I heard that years ago that she used to be a doctor who communicated in a kind way.

She is one of the most disrespectful doctors I have ever had. Belittled me into thinking I couldn’t possibly have a disease even though she didn’t examine me. I begged to have a blood test done for a special blood test to at least have an exact answer. She said she was “too busy” to deal with this and had a lot of patients to look at. I had to see a specialist 4 hours away to get a real examination and a myositis panel for CONFIRMATION that I do in fact have a disease. I have no idea how she has so many good reviews unless she has a lot of patients who have textbook results. I do not recommend her unless you want to go undiagnosed.

Will Not Be Returning
Dr. Chapman was very rude throughout both of my appointments. She was extremely condescending and made me feel very uncomfortable. There were multiple instances where she questioned my experiences (which were documented in my chart) and insinuated they may not have actually happened or that I was exaggerating them. The rest of the staff at this office were very kind but Dr. Chapman felt like she come to a very fast conclusion about my condition and did not want to differ from that opinion while treating me. I have had a very similar experience to this before and this experience was told to her by both my PCP and myself so it was especially upsetting to experience this.

Very disappointed in this doctor.Shes nice and I thought she was decent .She ordered a new drug for me .She told me I could go to a new local pharmacy for it.After waiting several days I get a call from that pharmacy telling me they don't carry it.So I go to the next pharmacy which has been nothing but, frustration and mismanagement from the beginning.Part of the problem was her mismanagement of my scripts. It caused me a lot of frustration. In the meantime they send me ppwk to make sure I get bloodwork in March.I have an appt Monday .I get a call this morning asking if I got my January blood work.I asked her what Jan bloodwork .?? I said I knew about March bloodwork but, have no idea about any January bloodwork. This is exactly how my experience has gone from the beginning. Its been nothing but , confusion and frustration. All of this has just added to my stress level. It was a very bad experience going to this doctor. If you want high stress and confusion go to her.!!!

Dr. Chapman is an excellent doctor. I am 70 years old and I am used to having doctors who take the time to truly listen to their patients. Recently, most doctors I have seen, no longer seem to have much allotted amount of time to devote to their patients. The trend appears to be "get them in and get them out." Dr. Chapman took the time to talk to me, explain things and make me feel comfortable with her. I highly recommend her if you are seeking to see a Rheumatologist.

Dr. Chapman quickly diagnosed a rare form of extremely painful arthritis I was experiencing. She prescribed a very effective treatment plan including pain relief. Her advice in my overall well being was very successful even beyond the scope of arthritis. She is very respectable and caring. The staff of techs and receptionists are top-shelf. I highly recommend her services.
