Dr. Jessica McAfee, MD

Truly not a doctor that should receive recommendations or has talent. I always wondered why it's easy to always find an appointment with her and not some of the other doctors, but my recent visit with her confirmed just why. She is dismissive of your symptoms, won't address all your concerns, and will base her conclusions off of details that do not reflect the entirety of the onset symptoms. She's not sincere nor friendly, and the visits feel like a chore for her. She doesn't seem to have genuine interest or discern about her patients, and there is no warmth in the visits, which is a shame as that is what a healthcare provider should prioritize having. This sentiment has been consistent for the entirety of the time I've had her as my PCP, about 10 or so years. Even my 10 years with her, one would imagine a closer relationship with their doctor, but none of that. Finding a new doctor has been long overdue, and my recent visit reminded me of that.

Unfortunately, Dr Mcafee lacks basic people skills and professionalism. We’ve seen her a few times. The first meeting I was friendly and tried to engage in just basic kind conversation. She seemed uncomfortable and only wanted to get through her list of questions. Not sure if she is just insecure or has so many patients to see she lacks sincerity. She does not seem to be warm, caring or engaged with her patients; she makes appointments feel awkward. Getting out of the exam room as fast as possible is your best option. I feel bad for her because she could have much more potential as a doctor. Thankfully our family has been able to find a new doctor since our last apt. The new doctor & entire office/staff are amazing. I was blown away at the difference of how each practice was run. Our new doc/office is caring & classy, but Lorton Family feels pushy and ghetto. It's sad when good practices are so desperately needed. Some changes could really make this office great.

She inserted my IUD and it fell out within 100 days of having it. I complained to her that something didnt feel right and she had another doctor check me it. Then I was sent to another facility by that doctor to get a vaginal ultra sound. Never found the results out. The turnaround results from Dr McAfee are terrible. When my IUD fell out she didn't even check to see if any cooper is left by my uterus. I will be going to another doc asap

I like Dr. McAfee a lot. I think Dr. Lee controls what she can treat and not treat to a point. Overall super easy to work with.

She had preconceived ideas about my medical history before she even talked to me. I've been seeing a more homeopathic doctor who has been extremely helpful and she was against ALL medications that he prescribed, even though my blood tests were excellent. She dismissed all of my symptoms saying it's the medications he prescribed, and get off of them. Oh and drink more water. She was wrong (again). I have Lyme disease, which the homeopathic doctor diagnosed and DNA tests confirmed.
