Missed diagnosis
Out of all the appointments we had I only saw the doctor about 20 % of the time . An MRI that the autism specialist ordered gave me an answer to my child's pain .They Never followed up and during one of my visits I was even told that maybe it was due to vitamin deficiency which was ruled out when they got results back showing that he was more than fine . He was actually at a higher percentage in some areas than the average child his age is expected to have. My wait time per visit was never under 1.5 hours and the actual appointment was only about 15 min not enough time to evaluate . I provided concerns from school staff and they too were ignored . I had chosen this doctor believing she was number one and just scheduled an upcoming visit to find out she is now retiring . what type of office does not think to let the patient know in advance.

So glad we were referred to her. She was attentive, explained the surgery in detail answering all our questions. Provided pros and cons to the surgery. The incision is beautiful. The scar is smaller than expected even through it is on the collarbone.

She was attentive. Answered all our questions. Explained the surgery and options. After surgery she took time to explain the plan for rehab. The incision was beautiful. She did an amazing job. So glad we were referred to her.

If I could give10 stars I do it for Dr McMichael. She is simply amazing professional. I want to say that we are very lucky that my son is “on Dr McMichael’s hands”. They are not enough words to thank you again Dr McMichael.

My 7 year old son fractured his right leg, Dr. McMichael and the wonderful staff at CHOC hospital went above and beyond caring for him. Dr. McMichael explained everything that was going to happen during and after surgery in great detail. I would highly recommend her!
