She's alright, knowledgeable but basic
My older son has had Dr.Rome since I switched him from Dr.Rok who was so arrogant. She's had him about a decade & has been fine for basic practice. My lil son is complex, i chose her to have the same Doc for both kids. Dr.Rome has the knowledge, she's not enthusiastic or 'friendly' but i dont find her rude. Her appts can be a long wait sometimes. Shes a good doc for your avg, healthy kid. Anything beyond typical illnesses & growth, she's prob not your go-to. At 1st when i started taking my new baby to her, i don't think she was prepared for the complex patient she just took on, there was a situation where i didnt feel i had her support & respect, i requested to switch Docs, none of my choice were available, im sure word got to her and from then on she seemed to do a little better. She just doesnt have a personality which is easy to mistake for rudeness but shes grown on me & i think we have a mutual understanding now and i feel more supported by her.

Careless
I don’t care if you see good reviews online regarding this doctor, she is a horrible pediatrician. I selected her because of the experience and I needed an experienced provider to manage my kids care. My previous pediatrician was educated and experienced so I expected a great pediatrician this time around but I was so wrong. This pediatrician does not listen to the parents of the patients she “cares for”. On my kids first appointment she immediately made changes despite me telling her we had tried these things already. Those changes affected my children negatively right away and quickly had to go back to how things had been before. She is not friendly or even welcoming, just seems miserable to see you and your children on every single appointment. In my opinion Dr. Rome has the knowledge to be a good pediatrician but is only concerned with getting a paycheck and going home. She should change professions
