Everyone there was very nice, but essentially did nothing. Referred me to multiple other various specialists, who all told me to go back to the neurologist. Ordered multiple tests, several of which I never heard any results from. My medications were kept the same as before I started seeing him, despite not working well. After months of visits, I was referred out to another neurologist after being told ‘You need someone smarter than me’. Thanks for all the fun times.

I recommend Dr. Kar!
Dr. Kar treated me for well over a year before finding the source of my weakness. I am one of those tricky cases but he didn't give up, and constantly reassured me he would figure it out. I was finally diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. Dr. Kar listens to me when I see him for each visit. He adjust care according to my feedback. I feel confident that Dr. Kar is well read in the areas of diagnosis and treatment of my disease. I have read horror stories from other MG patients, and thankfully, I have never experienced what they have. I highly recommend Dr. Kar. I would also like to say that Dr. Kar's infusion nurse, Kristy, is a God-send. She's caring, gentle and top notch at her job.

Horrible service, long waits, no solutions.....
Horrible. Very Long waits in over crowded waiting room, months of visits to finally tell me what apparently he didnt listen to on first visit (nerve damage, pain), with no solution in sight. I didnt show up for the last visit, because, why bother? an hour wait in a standing room only waiting area, for 5 minutes of someone ignoring me, and booking me out another 3 months to maybe do another test only to repeat in another 3 months?

I am a new patient and registered as a new patient online. I arrived to the office 15 minutes early and waited in the exam room for over 45 minutes. I was at the doctor's office over an hour and I didn't see a doctor. Needless to say I was very frustrated and left the office. I also paid the $45 co-payment which was refunded. Two months later they are trying to collect the copayment which was already refunded.

Doesn’t Care!
Dr Kar was consulted for my husband’s extreme right arm weakness and left foot weakness while in the hospital after a prolonged critical illness. He ordered MRIs. These were done on a Thursday. He never saw my husband Friday, Saturday or Sunday. On Monday I had the nurse call him and ask him to please discuss the results with us. He had the nurse read the results to him over the phone but then it was too long so he stopped her. He said he’d look the tests over. He said he would not be coming back to see him but he’d have his nurse practitioner come talk to us and he’d order a neurosurgery consult. Really??? You order tests for a man who can’t lift his right arm off the bed, can’t squeeze his right hand or move his left foot but you don’t think it’s important to discuss the results with the patient and family!!?? Are we supposed to guess the results?? Totally unprofessional and inappropriate behavior!! How much did you get paid for that minimal effort??

I waited to write a review for a month hoping service from Dr Kar and his staff would get better but it has not. My first visit was rushed, he did not listen to what I had to say. He chose one thing I mentioned and has focused on that the entire time. I have made 6 trips (4 hrs each) to his office and another Dr he sent me to and still have no answers. He took me off of every medication I was on and prescribed migraine meds (which is NOT what is wrong with me). My insurance denied paying for it so he prescribed me a medication I am allergic to and put me on an extra blood pressure pill even though I already take one daily. Plus, he stated in his notes that I was having seizures and passing out (which I have had neither) so he could get my insurance to pay for meds. The insurance company denied my MRI as well because he indicated my illness may have been caused by an accident, of which I've not had. Now they say I owe $1300 and they haven't even billed my insurance. Completely fed up.

Treating me for headache. Ended up being given medication for migraine which was causing side effects. Went in to see him about symptoms I was having and he more or less told me that he had done all he could to help with my headaches. This was on a Wednesday and Saturday I had a stroke. My medical history and current health at the time was no risk of a stroke only medication for migraine. After stroke I was told that I didn't need to come back since I wasn't having headaches...so I found a new Dr.

Would not recommend Dr. Kar to anyone. He horribly misdiagnosed me. He recommended 2 surgeries that would have not only been TOTALLY unnecessary. Fortunately I am now being treated for a rare condition by a different Neurologist who actually takes time to listen and treat me. (The "new" doctor literally demonstrated on me and to me how Dr. Kar's "diagnosis" could NOT be correct in 10 minutes.)

I never even got to see this doctor... I had left my wallet at home and they refused to consider seeing me until I paid $200 up front! This after I had been referred by my own MD and had $1200 MRI. In my opinion, this is medicine purely for profit - morally objectionable! I'll find a different neurologist.

First, I would like to say, I was kind of a mess, during our consult, having many symptoms, I want go in to. Suffice to say, I've been suffering. Dr. Kar, and he's wise assistant, never missed a beat. Always showing patience and keeping me on point, and most importantly, listening. I don't choose to call myself old yet, but, will say, I've felt I'll for a good while, and maybe a little jaded. But, now, in short, I've now been on, the recommend medicine and, feel, much better! is not exaggerating,

I have been seeing Dr Kar for nerve entrapment syndromes that I have been having for last couple of years. He is very passionate about listening to my problems and symptoms. He is very professional in providing care to cure something like this. He is always available when I am in some serious conditions. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a good neurologist.

I have called multiple times to leave urgent messages for the doctor over three weeks time and no one has returned any of my calls. I have been to the e.r. a couple of times due to issues with my autonomic nervous system and Dr. Kar refuses to call me, order any labs, or set up an earlier appt time. The office staff always tell me they will leave him a message to call and he never does. I missed 2 weeks of work and had to go on LWOP. My follow-up with him is not until a month away.
