I have had two treatments from Dr. Chan and can only describe her as excellent in every possible way. Not only is she extremely skilled in performing the surgery, but her overall manner, while absolutely professional, is courteous and indeed friendly, thereby putting one very much at ease. I could not have wished for finer treatment, and would most certainly recommend her to anyone needing this type of work.

I consider myself very lucky to have found Dr Joanna Chan. She discovered something on my nose that I thought was a harmless pimple. Turned out to be something much more serious. She performed Mohs surgery on me & cleared up something that could’ve been real bad if just left untreated. No pain, no scar...I’d highly recommend Dr Chan to my friends & loved ones. Her intellect & passion really shows through !

Scheduled appointment with her office, but the only available date was 3 months later. I decided to see her anyway because of all the great reviews she had posted online. The office called me ONE MONTH later to let me know that my appointment was cancelled. I tried rescheduling for the same time on a different day and they tell me that she won't see anyone that late in the day (even though they were fine with scheduling that appointment time initially). I'm just going to find another dermatologist. It's just not worth the effort to see her.

I searched for a highly skilled Mohs Doctor and found a great one! Dr Joanna Chan
Is what one hopes ALL doctors would be. She is highly skilled,( I have had 2 other Mohs procedures done), takes her time, never hurried, called me 4 hours after surgery, and again a week after! Now who does that any more? She went out of her way to help me with other pre-cancerous sites as well. I highly recommend her. Since I am a former RN with a LOT of experience with doctors, I am a tough grader. Dr Chan EARNED her 5 stars!
And I intend to use her for life and can unequivocally recommend her.

I went in to see if a small mole on my shin could be removed. After discussing the fact that my skin is very sensitive and does not heal well, Dr. Chan recommended that she remove it. The procedure left a 1 inch scar and marks from the stitches that have not healed in more than 3 months. The result of her treatment was 3 times worse than leaving the mole alone. I would discourage anyone from visiting this doctor.

Dr. Chan has great bedside manner and amazing surgical skills. I have also received cosmetic treatments from her, and she has a very gentle touch. My friends think I look refreshed without looking "done," which was my goal.

Dr. Joanna Chan is my favorite doctor! She is thorough, warm, knowledgeable and has amazing surgical and cosmetic skills. Her gentle touch and friendly bedside manner made the entire Mohs Surgery experience so positive that I cannot even see my scar. It inspired confidence and I had her do my blepharoplasty (upper eyelids), and now I look 10 years younger!

Dr Chan is a very caring and professional physician. I was referred to her by another physician that goes to her. She removed a skin cancer from my nose using the Mohs procedure and you can’t even see a scar. She is personable and thorough.

Dr. Joanna Chan, receives the 5 Stars rating and Laser Skin Care Center is fortunate to have on staff, a knowledgable; highly intelligent; caring & concerned adult; with tremendous likability. She has been my favorite care provider for six years - from her down-to-earth patient approach to her mild mannered methods - she cares and shows concern. We aren' talking icing here. But more, the counseling; post-op wound care; stable laser hands; and skill injecting botox.
