1/24 9a appt never examined me or asked how I felt
I had to ask Dr. Lopes what my follow-up visit consisted of. He never asked how I was feeling as it related to the surgery. I had to to ask if he was going to examine me, feel or look at the area, etc., His response: ' I can see 'through' your clothing that you don't have a hernia. I asked how do you know. His response, 'because I don't see a bulge'. I sat in one position on the table the entire time. I wore a thin top and an overlay. As he sat on his stool is how he made that determination that I didn't have a hernia. I told him about pain I had in that area just last week. He said it could be colitis or diverticulitis without any concern or recommendations. Although, he was concerned in talking about food. We spent the time talking about food and places to exercise. That's what I fought traffic for to make it to my 9am appt.

Performed hernia surgery on me. Felt totally confident in his skills. Explained everything in terms a non medical person could understand. Spent time addressing my questions, concerns. My follow up appointment was the same. This is what was wrong, this is what I did to fix it and this is what you can expect... A very down to earth personable guy. I would highly recommend. Bonus: He was a very personable guy.

Dr. Lopes took time to call me about the status of my 24 year old son on whom he had just completed a gallbladder removal laparoscopy. He communicated his concern for my son's health and spent time talking with me about his future. Considering the constraints on physicians right now under the COVID-19 scare and other issues, I appreciate he took the time to make the call. What a blessing to have Dr. Lopes be available at the time my son needed him and his willingness to keep me, Dad, informed. This is something missed in healthcare these days.

Dr Lopes performed surgery on my husband. At the initial consultation we both were grateful for having been referred to Dr Lopes. He did not rush us but rather gave us unlimited appointment time and explained the procedure in terms we could understand and answered all of our questions and concerns. His smile and personality had us leaving the office with a calm in knowing that we were in the best hands. Dr Lopes talent in the medical arts and bedside manner is superior. Highly recommended!

I had my gallbladder removed a few weeks ago and I have to say the best part of this process was Dr. Lopes. First, he came HIGHLY recommended by my primary, 2nd, the office was very easy to get to, 3rd he took the time to explain (and draw) what was going to happen, 4th the actual surgery was PERFECT, 5th TINY SCARS!!!!!, 6th the girls in the office were very nice. Dr. Lopes NEVER made me feel rushed either. I am going to recommend Dr. Lopes LOUDLY to ANYONE who needs a general surgeon!!!
